Dominion Voting Systems, which was sold last year to a former GOP election official and is now called Liberty Vote, said it “agreed to a confidential settlement.”
The company formerly known as Dominion Voting Systems is ending its $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against MyPillow and its CEO, Mike Lindell.
The voting machine company, which was sold last year to a former GOP election official and is now called Liberty Vote, agreed to dismiss the long-running lawsuit in a federal court filing this week.
“The parties have agreed to a confidential settlement to this matter,” a Liberty Vote spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.
The agreement reached this week stated that all parties in the lawsuit will bear their own legal fees and costs. Lindell estimated his legal fight with Dominion cost him about $20 million.
Dominion Voting Systems filed the defamation lawsuit against Lindell and MyPillow in 2021 over Lindell’s discredited claims that the company rigged the 2020 election for Joe Biden.
The company also accused Lindell, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, of waging his election fraud crusade to boost MyPillow sales and to raise his political profile.
In an interview Wednesday, Lindell said the lawsuit’s dismissal is “great news” for his Shakopee-based company.
“This has been five years of just an attack on MyPillow and myself,” said Lindell, who is running as a Republican for Minnesota governor.
Lindell is facing House Speaker Lisa Demuth and GOP-endorsed retired health executive Kendall Qualls in the August primary election. While recent polling shows him lagging well behind the presumptive Democratic nominee for governor, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, he has outraised Qualls.
Lindell still faces a federal defamation suit from Smartmatic, another voting technology company that won a summary judgment against Lindell last fall. Monetary damages will be decided at trial.

So the bribe loot goes there now?
$20 million?
The US Legal System remains an expensive joke.
There should be caps and limits on what lawyers collect. Seems like the majority of money in any suit are the legal fees.
Everyone at Liberty Vote will have the best sleep of their life!
that’s great news. our St. Mike beat the evil Dominion machine! our David slew the election stealing beast, Goliath.
thank you for being steadfast, Mike, when the GOPe all the media moguls caved and lost. now go and win Minnesota. more support on the way.
The article says the company was purchased and they elected to drop the lawsuit for a settlement.
Was anything he said even proven to be even remotely true, including the nonsense that DeSantis won his re-election in 2022 because of fraud? What is the point of thanking someone for being "steadfast" about things that aren't true?
The obviously feared what discovery would reveal!
settlement? Mike said he didn’t pay a penny to them, unlike say fox news.
DeSantis? never heard that. citation or reference please, assuming you can back that up.
You ignored the article you are commenting on as though it is not there, you ignored most of what I said and the question I asked, you say you never heard something prominently in the news and was discussed here at the time...
Here you go:

Did you read the article...?
ok, thx. i’ll check your link out.
ok FRiend. i checked because i would have lost quite a bit of faith in Mike if what you are implying was true. however, most of your duckduck links were leftwing sites i no longer read, because i’ve found them to be untrustworthy in the past. sites like say newsweek. however i looked at the one Miami paper link.
the way i read that article, (which i think was fairly unbiased) i believe you mis-characterized Mike’s question about the election. first it was one county (Miami-Dade) which has traditionally been a cheating county, and Mike had a legit question about an anomaly cf. Trump’s results there his people saw.
i think Mike’s been consistent in that he’s said he thinks both R’s and D’s have cheated and he honestly wants to check on potential cheating by both parties. i’ve got no problem with that being an independent myself and just as mistrustful (given my personal experiences with both parties) of reps as of dems.
second, according to that relatively unbiased article, he still thought DeSantis won it! which you lead me to think that Mike said DeSantis stole the state, not just one county.
from the article.
“While calling the DeSantis win an “anomaly,” Lindell also said he believes the Republican governor won the county fairly. He claims the 2022 cast vote records — which show how machines recorded ballots — could reveal Trump was cheated out of his own Miami-Dade win in 2020 by “machine manipulation.”
anyway, why did you try to make me think that Mike said DeSantis cheated on his own election? maybe you should reread your own citations. you’re calling my reading skills into question, now i’m calling out yours.
frankly scalett, i don’t think they said what you think they said.
Woo hoo! Let the discovery phase begin!
He made a bunch of claims he could not justify. That was just one of many.
There was also no anomaly as the trend toward the GOP was already there well before that election. His assertion was bogus to anyone doing a cursory amount of research.
And now you are trying to conflate my remarks not only about that, but also about this article you are commenting on.
What discovery? This litigation is over.
The smartmatic litigation continues, however.
Dominion Voting Systems.....DVS......devious.
Dominion HAD to avoid discovery
Lindell is a hypester that shouldn’t always be believed.
