More than 700 people have crossed the Channel on 11 small boats - the highest number in a single day so far this year.
The Home Office said 710 migrants made the crossing on Monday.
It follows two weeks of windy weather when there were no crossings at all.
A total of 9,852 people have made the journey so far this year - a fall of 40% compared with the same period in 2025.
The Home Office has said it was "bearing down" on small boat crossings.
In April, the UK and France confirmed a new £662m deal to stop migrants from crossing the Channel.
A landmark deal was signed with France to boost "enforcement action on beaches and put people smugglers behind bars", a Home Office spokesperson said.
It will involve France deploying millions of pounds worth of drones, two helicopters and a camera system to intercept people smugglers and illegal migrants.
Riot-trained police will also be sent to French beaches as part of the deal.

Sure. Elsewhere in the article it stated that rough weather was to blame.
What needs to happen is immediate arrest, denial of access to the British welfare state, and return to the EU, which organization has done nothing but support the invasion. It's literally their problem. What is actually happening is coddling at a level that makes the Big Rock Candy Mountain look like a gulag.

They seem to have forgotten what happened when invaders crossed the Channel in 1066.

Sink the boats.
By international treaty, asylum seekers must request asylum in the FIRST country they step into from their home country.
The 710 refugees are NOT French or Belgian.
The UK should just load all of them on an empty cargo ship, and send them straight back across the English Channel.
Why does the UK keep accepting - and supporting - these people?
Because they will vote for Labour Party in the future.
