In a bold and necessary exercise of American strength, President Donald J. Trump authorized Operation Epic Fury —
a precise, overwhelming military campaign to
eliminate the imminent nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime,
destroy its ballistic missile arsenal,
degrade its proxy terror networks, and
cripple its naval forces.
This operation, executed in partnership with regional allies, follows exhaustive diplomatic efforts and comes after 47 years of Iranian aggression — including attacks on U.S. citizens, sponsorship of global terrorism, and brutal oppression of its own people.

The deal is another story as we haven't actually seen it yet, but I thought it'd be a good idea to repost the original White House post on Epic Fury since it likely captures Trump's perspective on the whole operation.
Yes.
It was a Great War.
Unqualified success.
Many people are saying it.
> the goals of Epic Fury were met <
Yep. Then two more goals were added:
- Regime change
- Surrender of all nuclear material
Maybe these weren’t goals as much as they were wishes. Nevertheless, much focus is on them now. A bridge too far…
eliminate the imminent nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime,
So where's the uranium?
destroy its ballistic missile arsenal,
They just launched one at Kuwait two weeks ago.
degrade its proxy terror networks, and
Hamas and hezbollah are still fighting.
cripple its naval forces.
They closed the Strait and it remains closed as of this morning.
Doesn't sound like much of a victory to me, much less unconditional surrender.
The uranium is underground and dispersed. As such there is no imminent threat. They’d basically be better off starting to spin up again from scratch. Eliminating the imminent threat does not mean a cease to their ambitions, which’d be the regime change thing.
The Kuwait attack was a drone attack.
Hamas and Hezbollah are indeed degraded. Degraded doesn’t mean eliminated. The islamic terror threat is alive and well hence don’t expect Israel to stop defending itself.
Their strait activity was mostly drone strikes and missiles fired from land. Their navy is done. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any boats for a couple of guys to ride out with a mine.
Those original four goals were all about reduction of threats, not the elimination of threats. So it’s reasonable to say that those goals were achieved.
The problem is that Trump then added more goals (post #3) and started bragging about how some Iranian threats were eliminated - when they actually were not.
I should also say that ballistic missiles are in a different class than the short range stuff they’ve been using for awhile now. Ballistic missiles are long range and like rockets, entering the upper atmosphere under propulsion and generally falling without propulsion on the way down (ballistically).
Trump set a goal to eliminate tax on social security. He managed to only get me a lousy 6,000 deduction. /s
When’s he going to Ft. Knox?
Interesting question for debate is does gold matter? We no longer have gold standard and more and more people are putting faith in chips.
> When’s he going to Ft. Knox? <
Good question. That’s one promise that would be VERY easy to fulfill. Just do it, and chalk up the win.
Instead the whole matter has been dropped. Disappeared. I find that to be quite curious.
🤔
The IRGC murdered 30,000 Iranian demonstrators. No sane country negotiates with a cabal like that one. Unless the Iranian people overthrow this theocratic stranglehold, nothing there will change. Trump should have kept going instead he wasted our military assets by stopping the bombing and giving the IRGC the chance to get up again after being on the ropes for the first time in 47 years. This is an existential threat to the U.S. on a level with what Japan was to us in 1944. Iran has active cells here in the U.S.
Those politicians and so-called citizens (a/k/a “consumers”) who would trade the security of the U.S. for a cheap fill-up at the pump need to be rounded up and sent to GTMO. That’s the big difference now, no one is willing to make any sacrifices for the sake of the homeland. It’s all one-way entitlements, and “don’t inconvenience me or I’ll vote you out of office”.
Well guess what, you room-temperature IQ voters—war IS an inconvenience and means you might not be getting everything you want all the time while it’s happening.
Welcone to the real world.
Is that you, obama???
Democrats will likely claim this conflict was a “war of choice”—unnecessary and politically driven.
I completely disagree. In my view, it was a necessary action that was both short and highly effective. Furthermore, by de-escalating in time to protect the party ahead of the midterms, the President demonstrated excellent political awareness and knew exactly when to (if you’ll pardon the pun) ease up on the gas.
You gonna go fight that war?
And I’m not the only one who thinks the people who started this war are the ones who should be in Gitmo so good luck with that round up
None of the objectives were achieved.
Khameini (younger version).
Ballistic missiles (about 70%, will replenish and improve).
Proxies (Hezb is using effective drones, will get more).
Nuclear (uranium is safe and may or may not be distilled, but staying in Iran for another day).
It seems we did try to get it, and things went wrong. That is likely what the whole "rescue" drama was about.

In this episode of The President’s Daily Brief:
- First up—reports of a U.S.-Iran agreement continue to swirl, but competing versions of the deal are raising major questions about sanctions relief, Iran’s nuclear program, the future of the Strait of Hormuz, and whether a broader regional peace is actually within reach.
I’ve got $100 saying there will be a missile launched by Iran Hezbollah, Hamas, Houtis (all Iranian proxies) by Saturday.
The US hasn’t won a war since WW II, why start now?
