President Donald Trump’s name is off the Kennedy Center.
Crews at the performing arts venue started removing it from the front of the building around 3 a.m., several hours after the center missed a federal judge’s two-week deadline to do so. The judge had ruled that the decision by the center’s board of trustees to rename it was illegal.
With the removal of 18 letters — “The Donald J. Trump and” — the building’s exterior reads “The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts” once more. Trump’s name had been on the facade for 176 days, a dramatic change to the 55-year-old memorial to an assassinated president.

Maybe they're filling in the holes with toothpaste.
Never should have been there to begin with. Adding someone else’s name to a memorial for another person is bad taste to start with...not to mention the name of the facility was set by statute and therefore could only be changed by statute.
Unforced error to allow for negative media coverage - they’re good enough at just making stuff up - don’t need to give them someone legitimate to attack you with.
Well then they can get the money from somewhere else before the decrepit POS building falls on some party’s heads.
Agreed - Ilit was just dumb. He ends up with egg on his face, and gave something for Democrats to crow about. Though I’m sure someone will “Art of the Deal” this into some big win.
Democrat vandals did this under the cover of darkness at 3:00 a.m. and covered with a tarp of shame.
The national guard should have stopped the madness and destruction.
Or you do somethign like this to keep the left going nuts. Let them win a legit one in court so it helps the courts feel like they did something to stop trump.

What does that have to do with this? Providing funding somehow makes it in good taste to put someone else's name on another person's memorial, and it somehow negates the reality of laws and statutes?

From my point of view it never should have been the “Kennedy Memorial Center.........” and the solution was not to add Trump’s name to it, but to rename it the “Washington D.C, Center......”.
I don’t believe in the government naming any government edifice for any politician, dead or alive, except for the extreme cases like Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. ALL - 100% - naming of government edifices after politicians is political and is divisive, whereas without such type of naming the edifice has no political party identity carried with it.
