US Vice President JD Vance says the United States and Israel “have a lot of shared interests, but we also have some situations where our interests diverge,” as Fox News host Jesse Waters begins an interview by asking him how “concerned are you about Israel spying on the United States and freelancing in Lebanon?”
“I think where the president has been very clear here is that while Israel obviously has some objectives that it has, the United States’ main objective in Iran is to ensure that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon,” Vance says, without actually addressing the questions posed to him.
Vance asserts that “over the last year and a half, we’ve created the space necessary where the president believes – and I think that he’s right – that we can get the long-term settlement to Iran’s nuclear deal.”
“Now, Israel may like that, they may not like that,” he adds. “But fundamentally, we think this is in the best interest of the United States of America.”
Asked if the Iranians are “trying to play” the US negotiators, Vance responds, “Everybody’s always trying to play everybody.”

Why would anybody trust anything that ever came out of their mouths again? This "deal" is no different than what Obama and Biden were trying to do.
Flashback to January:

Flashback to March:
Agreed, Priority #1 is the nukes. Israel’s security, though important,is secondary. Once a deal is struck if the 9th Century pig fornicators in Tehran attack Israel...or any other nation in the region...we’ll deal with it.
I would not count on that one bit. Trump already hung the Saudis, Qataris, Omanis, Emiratis, and Kuwaitis out to dry when he first called for that ridiculous "cease fire" (at Pakistani behest--Kushner and Witkoff's business partners) when we had the Iranians on the ropes and on the verge of of total collapse and defeat.
So why would anybody trust him or the U.S. ever again?
Yeah I’m sorry to say it and Trump may be constrained by the Strategic reality that he cannot easily take over Iran, but you are not going to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon unless you change the nature of the regime that is governing Iran or else truly defeat their proxies on the battlefield.
The minute we end the war Iran is going to have immense oil wealth again and they are going to use it to buy new ships planes and missiles.
I suppose Israel would want Iran to have zero nuclear material, as in none. That’s a VERY understandable position.
But how to accomplish such a thing? How to 100% verify? We’re dealing with fanatics here. Bombing alone won’t do the job. It would take infantry, and a military occupation of at least the nuclear sites.
That’s not going to happen. So some sort of compromise will have to be worked out.
Trump already hung the Saudis, Qataris, Omanis, Emiratis, and Kuwaitis out to dry when he first called for that ridiculous “cease fire”
Saudis, Qataris, Omanis, Emiratis, and Kuwaitis have stopped Trump several times from launching air strikes because they fear they will bear the brunt of Iranian reprisals.
There is no doubt that the President has changed his position from demanding, “Unconditional surrender and regime change” to “No nukes”. This is a win for the fanatical U.S. hating leaders in Iran and it’s a betrayal of the Iranian people - IMHO.
started off great.
I have no idea why he doesn’t just continue what he was doing and chop off the heads of the Iran leadership until someone is willing to surrender.
With the IRGC??? The same terrorist organization that bamboozled Obama and Biden?
Remember...those savages believe that dying in a fight with the Great Satan will get them those virgins. So it's Emperor and virgins.
They only did that when Trump agreed to the Pakistanis' "two week" ceasefire request, thereby hanging them out to dry after they went all in with the U.S. and Israel in eliminating the Mullahs and IRGC, and in permanently changing the regime.
And you actually think some "home run deal" with "those savages" would be worth the paper it's written on?
He directly answered the question. What kind of trash rag is this?
He did not. He answered the question in his own mind that he wanted to do instead. Watch the video of his press conference.
> With the IRGC??? <
Yeah, those folks are something like the Imperial Japanese Army officers of WW2. Totally unreasonable, and totally fanatic. It’s a crazy religious thing.
We declared an unrestricted war with Japan. But that’s not what we’ve got here. So what are the options?
Will the American people accept a bombing campaign? Yes, but probably not forever.
A ground campaign? Never.
It’s a real mess. I suppose the best outcome (within reality) would be for the Iranian people to rise up. That’s where our main focus should be. Help them. I would assume Trump is making quiet moves in that direction.
Anything which leaves the mullahs in power is a loss, a total loss.
The last 3+ months is Exhibit A in the argument to have the U.S. stay the hell out of these sh!t-holes in the first place.
If the deal involves Israel not defending itself, it won’t last a day.
