The cruise line should get ready to pay out a large settlement. “Under U.S. federal law, all cruise terminals in the U.S. are federal facilities and, along with our ships, are drug-free zones.” So IF as the article reads the woman was given marijuana by someone with the cruise line Carnival is at least partially liable for her injuries. There is also the matter of someone telling her it was safe to go in the water to urinate within a certain distance of the props.
“cumulating in a hip disarticutation”
What does her being a “college graduate” have to do with anything in the story?
With a propeller injury like that I guess they didn’t want anyone to mistake her for a manatee.
She looks like a nice, resilient young lady, her ordeal was terrible, she has my sympathy. I understand her desperation, but don’t like trying to soak the deep pockets for one’s own very poor choices. Inebriation and power boats are never a good combination. The suit claims a crew member on a catamaran operated by a third party (not Carnival) told her she could “use the water near the catamaran’s diving platform as a restroom”, during disembarkation. Ugh.
O, the hugh manatee.
I guess there are vids of the crew/affiliated parties force feeding her the drinks and MJ.
That’s supposed to indicate that this young woman was fully educated and an aspiring (......) on her way to Big and Wonderful Things, only to have Her Dream ripped away (along with her legs) by the Carnival Shore Excursion!!!”
No amount of education can bridge the void of being frontally lobed deficient. Drunk and stoned and she’s trying to sue?....Ignorance is her strongest attribute.
“Her attorneys claim negligent safety practices led to the propeller accident that caused her life-altering injuries.” In other words, she fell off the boat and got run under, should have went port side instead of starboard.
She is lying. They are taught to lie.
———————
She paid for the excursion (boat, booze & pot) through Carnival.
She won’t take responsibility for her own actions. She acted so irresponsible and suffered the consequences but she won’t accept her own culpability. Grow up, lady!
But for the grace of God.
On my cruises I have always had a pleasant experience with decent people that are like minded. I sure as hell do not cruise with Carnival. When you go bottom tier price you cruise with bottom tier people. No thank you.
Holland America was particularly good. I love seafood and on the Alaskan Cruise it was in abundance as was beef etc. They also had “high tea” mid afternoon and it was most civilized. Royal Caribbean is good also.
Did you read the details in the link?
Pay the settlement with cruise tickets.
“””losing both legs”””...
Did anybody think to check the ship’s Lost and Found desk???
Is her name Eileen?
