Five US states reject LGBT ‘pride’ month, reclaim June for marriage, family, God
The governors of Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, and Utah issued proclamations that follow in the footsteps of Tennessee, which passed a resolution in April recognizing June as ‘Nuclear Family Month.’
Five U.S. states have now chosen to disregard homosexual and transgender “pride month,” casting aside the rainbow flag and reclaiming June for marriage, family, and God.
The governors of Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, and Utah issued proclamations that follow in the footsteps of Tennessee, which passed a resolution in April recognizing the month of June as “Nuclear Family Month.”
Tennessee’s resolution is the antithesis of LGBT “love is love” dogma, defining the “nuclear family” as “consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children” and observing that it is “God’s design for the familial structure” and has been “the bedrock of society since the creation of the world.”
The resolution emphasizes that the nuclear family has been “the basic building block of Tennessee’s society throughout her formative years” that “built the United States of America and created prosperity within our nation.”
Indiana Gov. Mike Braun announced Monday that he too had proclaimed June as “Nuclear Family Month” in the Hoosier State.
“As a father of four and grandfather of seven, I have seen firsthand the impact that loving, committed families can have across multiple generations,” Braun said. “As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this proclamation recognizes the important role families play in shaping the future of our state and our country.”
“Indiana will continue supporting policies that strengthen families and help the next generation thrive,” Braun added.
In contrast to false notions promoted by LGBT ideology, the Hoosier proclamation unequivocally declares:
- The nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for the family structure and has been the foundation of society since the creation of the world; and
- Research reports that children living with their married, biological parents have better physical and emotional well-being.
- When families weaken, society must compensate with expensive, inferior approaches such as welfare systems, schools as surrogate parents, and police as surrogate discipline.
- Strong families are the most effective means to raise children into capable adults.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey similarly proclaimed June as “Strong Families Month.”
“The example of my own parents showed me that strong families begin with strong parents,” Ivey said on X. “We proudly recognize the mothers and fathers raising the next generation and preserving the timeless values that guide Alabama.”
“Strong families build a strong Alabama,” Ivey said. “Homes led by stable parents, a father and a mother, provide children with the structure and discipline necessary to succeed. In Alabama, we celebrate these hardworking parents that strive for an even better future for their children.”
The Alabama proclamation affirms:
- Strong families build a strong Alabama. Our Alabama families remain the foundation of healthy communities across our state, responsible citizenship and a prosperous future. Homes led by a father and mother provide children with the structure and discipline necessary to succeed throughout life; and
- Fathers are the head of the household. They play an essential role in the development of children by providing leadership, protection and support that help shape strong families and stronger communities. It is fitting that we celebrate Strong Families Month in coordination with Father’s Day in June, recognizing the lasting impact fathers have on the lives of Mabama children and families;
- Children benefit from the presence of engaged parents who help guide their academic and moral development. Research continues to show children raised in stable family environments are more likely to graduate from high school, avoid substance abuse and achieve economic stability as adults
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas and Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah have both recognized June as “Fidelity Month.”
“Here in Arkansas, June is Fidelity Month: fidelity to family, fidelity to country, fidelity to God,” Sanders told The Daily Wire, adding that it’s a time for Arkansans to celebrate the “values of faith, liberty, and patriotism.”
The Alabama declaration states:
- The United States of America was founded on the values of faith, liberty, and patriotism as acknowledged in its founding documents and in the statements of its Founding Fathers.
- The commitment of Arkansas to spiritual and civic institutions is at the core of the State’s collective identity.
- Cultivating fidelity to God, family, community, and country contributes to human flourishing and supports a healthy, stable, well-ordered society.
- Practices that encourage virtue, commitment, responsibility, and shared moral foundations strengthen both individuals and their communities; Fidelity Month provides an opportunity for residents to reflect on and renew commitments to these shared values and institutions.
- The month of June is promoted by community and faith leaders as a time to encourage renewed dedication to these virtues and institutions.
Cox has also designated June as “fidelity Month” in the Beehive State, calling for a return to America’s “core values.”
“Fidelity Month” was first conceived of by Professor Robert George, a conservative scholar at Princeton University.
In a video posted to X, George explains that June “is the month that we rededicate ourselves to the great principles that have been our sources of unity and strength in the United States — the principle of fidelity to God, of fidelity to our spouses and families, of fidelity to our country and to our communities.”
“These values have weakened in our society and it’s our job to strengthen them,” George said.

June is originally the month for the sacred heart of Jesus, which is why the reprobates attacked it in the first place in their attempt to invert anything related to Christ.

I am SO disappointed that our Governor Brad Little (Idaho) did not sign on, especially when his web page prominently displays "We will work together to make Idaho the place where our children and grandchildren choose to stay." -- Governor Brad Little

Private persons should be allowed such events, planned and paid for on their own and no official involvement other than public safety as would be done for any large event. Outside of that the city government should no be a fellow celebrant in any way.

June became Cancer Survivor Month in ‘87 — long before the Pride clown show big-footed over a serious issue.
And YAY! for our Gov. Lee for started the ball rolling with the nuclear family month.
