NPR reviewed 34 publicly announced denaturalization cases filed or resolved by the DOJ as of last month, including 11 revocations of citizenship.
In the last 16 months, the Trump Justice Department says it surpassed the number of cases filed during all four years of the Biden administration — 64, according to available data. The administration is pitching a supercharged denaturalization effort as yet another way to address border security.
"The Department of Justice is laser-focused on rooting out criminal aliens defrauding the naturalization process," a DOJ spokesman said in a statement. "We are moving at warp speed to ensure fraudsters are held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent."

Only because leftists in the legal system are standing in the way.
How does one pass the naturalization test if one cannot speak English? Fraud. Obviously go after those low-hanging fruits first.
Those are enough clichés to make any DOJ PR statement vaporous.
"ensure fraudsters are held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent"
Does "fullest extent" mean there will be no plea bargaining down to some equivalent-to-jaywalking charge?!?
No one thought it would be easy
It is similar to a judgement proof hold-over tenant in many states who continues in possession after lease expires, or even a walk-in squatter.
The law frowns on a lessor who dumps the tenant's belonging on the street the day after expiration. At the same time the court eviction process takes time and money.
Then throw in a public advocate or political party in resistance and you can be in real mess.

“Only because leftists in the legal system are standing in the way.”
We might find out that the majority of voters who want Trump in office are sick of this obstruction and want the republicans in charge of Congress this November after they vote in an election not taken over by democrats cheating
NPR would have to deal with that
In the Bush I era I used to teach English & US Constitution and Customs to immigrants (mostly Mexican, mostly illegals). Only the motivated would attend the weeknight classes at the church. They weren’t necessary to obtain a visa/green card nor to become a citizen. What was more necessary was paying the right “business partner” of staff of the INS in Chicago. From what I hear, Chicago has not improved since then.
Trump has fixed 18 fountains in DC. Every 8th grader usually takes a field trip to DC with their classmates and parents. It’s not nothing.
"And the progressives will simply respond, "One battle at a time."
Denaturalization is hard to do because these people are granted full right of US citizens, including judicial review.
That’s why Dems want to grant those right to all illegals.
Squatter laws will modernize when the vacation house of an elected democrat becomes a squatter family adopted home.
Excuse me, never mind, wrong thread, chewing gum here.
Florida has led the way...
I always thought you had to demonstrate a knowledge of our language as well as write it to qualify for citizenship.
