U.S. bombs Iranian military sites and Kuwait is hit by drone and missile fire

The United States bombed Iranian radar and drone control sites in Iran after Tehran shot down an American MQ-1 Predator drone this weekend, the American military said Monday. Iran acknowledged launching a retaliatory strike, while Kuwait said it was intercepting incoming drone and missile fire.

Israeli troops patrol at the 900-year-old Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon. Israel said Sunday it had captured the hilltop castle, which provides a commanding view of southern Lebanon and northern Israel. Israel has been rapidly expanding its offensive in Lebanon in recent days.

The dueling attacks reflect the fragility of a weekslong ceasefire in the Iran war, which has seen repeated attacks even as American and Iranian officials try to negotiate a deal to extend it. Iran has maintained its chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz in the meantime, disrupting global energy supplies as a fifth of all oil and natural gas traded once passed through the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf.

I’m not a Zionist, according to the common modern definition, but I think Israel should keep the 900-year-old Beaufort Castle and surrounding territory. Every time the modern State of Israel has to go in and bushwack Hezzbollah, they should take a little more terriotiry. It sends a profound message.

Incoming drone and ballistic missiles is not cease fire. Armed fast boats intercepting shipping is not blocade.

Sink every boat in Iran waters. All of them.

Take out all missile sites and drone launching site.

Forget cease fire and forget negotiations. There is no need.

Do not negotiate with terrorists. The terrorist government must be overthrown and new constitution imposed.

The only recent analogue in modern history is the defeat of Imperial Japan which required utter defeat and full occupation with change of government institutions.

The 1979 Islamist Constitution is the problem. It must be eradicated. It is Constitutional Terrorism and will not change. That is why they refuse to give up on nukes and demand money from intended victims to pay for them.

The only way to get rid of the IRGC is to have the Iranian people get rid of them, and the only armed Iranians (besides IRGC) are the men of Artesh (regular army). The most critical thing for us to do right now is to convince Artesh that the only way to save Iran is to fight the IRGC.

Thank you for a very realistic assessment of the situation. Armchairing it, if we were not fully prepared to do that which was necessary to defeat them, we should not have attacked.
