Billionaire investor Peter Thiel reportedly moved his family from the US to Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires as a refuge from high taxes, political turmoil and potential catastrophes like nuclear war and an AI meltdown.
The PayPal co-founder and longtime Silicon Valley power player has met privately with Argentine President Javier Milei, purchased a mansion in one of Buenos Aires’ most exclusive neighborhoods and temporarily relocated his family to the South American nation, according to the New York Times.
Peter Thiel has reportedly relocated his family to Buenos Aires as he weighs Argentina as a potential "Plan B" amid concerns ranging from high taxes to nuclear war and artificial intelligence.
Thiel has reportedly enrolled his kids in a Buenos Aires school and bought a plot of land in nearby Uruguay, too.
Thiel, a supporter of President Trump’s, has also forged close ties with Milei, the libertarian whose crusade against taxes, regulation and government spending closely aligns with Thiel’s own worldview, according to the Times.
His private investment firm, Thiel Capital, opened an office in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood on Dec. 31 as Californians weighed the proposed tax — which threatened the investor with a whopping, 10-figure tax bill, according to Bloomberg.
Not least of Thiel’s concerns is the possibility of nuclear warfare in the Northern Hemisphere — making a relatively far-flung corner of South America an appealing option
Other members of the global elite, like Thiel buddy Martin Varsavsky, are of the same mind, according to the article.
“The moment China takes Taiwan or Russia takes Lithuania, I’m in Buenos Aires,” Varsavsky, a Spanish-Argentine tech entrepreneur, was quoted as saying. “It’s good to have a Plan B for civilization.”

So Argentina does not use AI at all?
“The moment China takes Taiwan or Russia takes Lithuania”
This is cry wolf nonsense, chances of China or Russia doing those is zero
Peter Thiel’s “family” is another guy. He also has had male side pieces. He has been a friend to Trump, but he is a pile of contradictions, and he is too smart not to know that.
What does Peter know that you do not? New Zeeland used to be the prime Sothern Hemisphere bug out nation. Now libertarian ruled Argentina is.
In a nuclear war the Southern hemisphere will be less affected. Due to the two hemisphere’s wind systems circulating fairly independently.

I gotta give Thiel credit because he does a lot of good things in many ways, but otherwise, the guy simply creeps me out.
There's something about all of the tech bros that's Orwellian any time any of them take their masks off.
Family ?
They need Jesus. Like all of us do.
Not zero by a longshot.
Argentina will just arrest him and his family shoot them and take everything
“Peter Thiel’s “family” is another guy.”
With a net worth 28.4 billion USD he will do whatever he likes. He has quite a few bug out properties. I believe he is a longevity guy who is privy to exotic research. So he can live to 130 in Buenos Aires, who knows.
Because Argentina has a glorious history of stable governments. Weren’t they eating animals stolen from the zoos in the 1990s?
Thiel is wasting his time. By moving there he has painted a massive target on the city. Globalists will not let him escape their wrath. Poor argentinians will now pay the price for his creation.
Good. One less rootless cosmopolitan stinking the place up with his dumb ideas.
In the event of a nuclear war, where I live, I’ll never know what hit me. But I will rest well knowing that Peter Thiel and his family are safe.
Russia is not going to attack NATO and China does not want their own Ukraine
It’s an open secret that he (Thiel) regularly attends homosexual orgies.
Not depending on that to then know in case of a nuclear attack that that I will be safe. Put your trust in Jesus if you have any doubts.
