Trump admin declares ‘no dust, no dollars’ for Iran — Islamic Republic must give up nuclear material before sanctions relief

WASHINGTON — The White House vowed “no dust, no dollars” for Iran on Sunday — asserting that unless the Islamic Republic gives up its enriched uranium, it will get no sanctions relief — as President Trump tapped the brakes on forecasting a peace deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump revealed Saturday that the US and Iran were close on a memorandum of understanding that would get oil flowing again while allowing 30 days for nuclear negotiations.

The plan unleashed panic among some Republicans and Israel backers — prompting Trump officials to clarify that no deal was imminent, and that it would take at least five to seven days to finalize any agreement.

Crucially, a senior administration official stressed that Iran would gain little without fulfilling back-room pledges to surrender its enriched uranium.

“Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, Sunday — a day after saying the the deal with Iran was “largely negotiated.”

Don’t rush into a bad Iran peace deal — they must give up nukes That still remains accurate, but the last details appear to be the biggest.

“95% is done, but literally changing words requires days of deliberation in their system,” the official said.

The senior source briefed reporters at least twice clarifying that the agreement wasn’t imminent and that there won’t be a repeat of Barack Obama’s infamous 2016 airlift of cash.

The President is a brilliant man. Why does he think the Iranians would ever negotiate in good faith?

What I learn from FR:

1. We should never have entered the war with Iran
2. We lost the war with Iran
3. We should stop our attempt to get them to give up nuclear capability because of the price of gas and the midterms
4. We should never have boots on the ground.
5. If we don’t kill very last person in Iran then it was a waste of time.
6. Every Iranian is smarter at negotiating than Trump.
7. Every TDS Freeper is smarter than Trump.
8. Every TDS Freeper knows that Trumps advisors are dumb but Trump doesn’t know that.
9. If we have a cease fire to try and get an agreement means we have surrendered.
10. If we enter into any agreement it means we lost and surrendered.

Why? Domestic & international politics, faith in “The Art of the Deal” - rational men can come to an agreement. Also possibly can’t bring himself to think that Shia apocalypticists actually think the way they do. I know a lot of smart rational people who say “Nah! No one thinks like that!”.

Anyway let’s hope he pulls it off and does it a manner that it won’t be necessary in to do it again 10 years.

Sigh.

BL, Iran is a client state.

We’re not just negotiating with the regime.

Patience, people.

I don’t focus too much on the day to day noise but I do find it interesting.

Trump throws out peace love and kisses to help boost the market and then later throws some red nuke meat to his base. :-)

If by “client state” you mean part of the “Axis of Evil” then we should be destroying it. Not negotiating with it.

WWIII kicked off when Putin invaded the Ukraine. Knocking Iran out of the war early on just makes sense.

11. President Trump has dementia; just ask the ladies of the
View.
12. He’s going to get us into WWIII.
13. Netanyahu leads President Trump around by a ring in his
nose.
14. It’s all the Jooooooooo’s fault.

So if Iran is unwilling to give up their enriched Iranian, the consequence is no sanctions relief? The consequence must be “bombing recommences”.

A war so important for the American people he had to run on the opposite.

Why does he think the Iranians would ever negotiate in good faith?

Well, if that actually is what he thinks, then the answer is most likely "ego". But, unless/until he proves otherwise, I'LL give him the benefit of the doubt that he does not believe they negotiate in good faith.

The Uranium isotope carries a signature that will tell us where it came from and where I BELIEVE it came from is BARRACK OBAMA, HILLARY CLINTON and URANIUM ONE. and that means they gave weapon of mass destruction to an enemy in time of war and that is TREASON. and the DEEP STATE will be crushed, and they can be tried by military tribunal and sentence carried out. I think there is a reason capitol punishment was brought back to the federal level. LEX
