I’m an American taxpayer. And I’m not good with it. Europe is now rich enough to defend itself.
A rough analogy:
Let’s say my next-door neighbor experienced a home electricity failure. And he’s too poor to get it fixed. So nice guy that I am, I let him run an electrical cord from my house to his. At no cost to him.
But now my neighbor has plenty of money. Yet he’s still using my electricity for free.
Something is wrong with that.
NATO is not being chastised, Germany, France, Italy and Spain are being reminded of their duties and obligations. Poland is behaving fully in accordance with the stated mission.
Don't be dishonest. NATO didn't say Trump was "wrong."
NATO is bewhildered. So are the American people.
And justifiably so. Trump is all over the map, issuing statements and then contradicting them, all the time.
No, Trump is not playing 4D chess.

And by the way....I believe that's illegal.
Bewildered? Let me try to make it very simple: Poland is a valued and very close ally and they will get the American troops they were promised. Now, can you understand that?

Exactly. I was there in the 70s and 80s and know it well.
Apparently it escaped everyone it was cheaper to just move the troops from Germany to Poland, so we've had two weeks of Trump hysteria and "Trump chaos" in the European and American press.
What you did was NOT being a nice guy...it was deceiving a utility company. Your neighbor is laughing at you.
Poland is like an interstate highway between Russia and Germany and has virtually no defensible terrain. Our troops are there to discourage Russia from coming in once again to gobble up half or all of Poland like they have throughout history. Kno history to know the future.
