Let me add on to that if he repented and turned away from that later in life, good for him. However, their standard is if any Republican said something even perceived as being insensitive 30 years ago it is totally disqualifying. But they had someone with that in their background as their Majority and Minority leader and chairman of powerful committees - and during the times he was *still* in office they pushed people out of leadership or out of office entirely merely for comments made perceived to be inappropriate.

Great take down by Cruz. This is probably the fourth time he’s run that line of questioning in a committee hearing. It’s great every time. And I like this youtuber - but I am tired of the clickbait title bs - on what planet did Hirono freeze? Stop the clickbait crap.
