Republicans are worried that Trump's latest endorsement will cost them control of the Senate, according to a new report.

A Republican familiar with Texas politics told NOTUS that Trump's endorsement of the state's Attorney General Ken Paxton could cost the GOP its Senate majority in the upcoming midterms, according to a report.

Why should this be a problem for the RINOs, when they love to lose?

They like to pretend to put up a “good fight.”

The Republicans don’t have the Senate now, the Uniparty does.

Anyone who thinks a Democrat, or anyone, is going to beat Paxton in Texas is just plain stupid.

I am no fan of the guy for personal reasons. But I am not from Texas. They are free to elect whomever they want. I am not sure why that would “lose the senate” for them.

Trump’s endorsements seem to carry a lot of weight within the party. I guess I would be aligning with him (Trump) if I were in a primary with someone who did not support him.

This just seems like a silly story.

When Trump’s endorsement of Paxton hit the news, my first thought was that he never would have done it unless he was confident that his endorsement would be irrelevant in the general election — meaning, that the GOP candidate would win or lose regardless of who the candidate is.

“Why should this be a problem for the RINOs, when they love to lose?”

They mean they can’t lose the senate if Paxton gets in. And RINOs will be on the losing end in the senate if Paxton gets in. Which he will

It’s just that they can’t admit it

Is there really any doubt that the source who is familiar with Texas politics was Cornyn?

I went back and read the article. Then I saw it was MSN. No wonder it’s silly.

Quoting sitting Senators talking about keeping one of the “good ole boys” in power made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Personally, I wouldn’t vote past a second term for any of them; House or Senate. Vote the ins out, and the outs in.

Paxton offered to withdraw if Thune passed the “SAVE AMERICA ACT”
through any method available..

If Thune is so concerned to save Cornhole, he could have twisted arms in the
Senate to pass the “SAVE AMERICA ACT”.
But he didn’t.
If we lose the Senate, it won’t be because of Paxton.
It will be because the Thune failed to lead his GOP Senators
to pass the “SAVE AMERICA ACT”
It supported by 90% of Republicans, along with 70% of Democrats.
