The World Health Organization declared an Ebola outbreak in Central Africa an international public health emergency on Sunday after dozens of suspected deaths were reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring Uganda.
The outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, does not meet the criteria for a pandemic emergency, the WHO said.
The declaration follows reports of 80 suspected deaths, eight laboratory-confirmed cases and 246 suspected cases as of Saturday across at least three health zones in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including Bunia, Rwampara and Mongbwalu.

Yeah, I’m still flabbergasted that, despite ALL reasonable infectious disease/epidemiological standards I learned in undergrad and medical school and later were totally blown off during the “Ebola crisis” of 2014-2015 so this grandstanding holier than thou dipshit could put untold millions of Americans at risk rather than take the means of treatment to the QUARANTINE zone back then. This started my main disillusionment with “modern medicine” which peaked during the Covid19 PLANdemic just a few short years later.

Certainly no reason to panic, unless it either mutates eventually or someone tampers with it. At one time (a few years ago) I read that Al-Qaida had attempted to capture and weaponize Ebola. Must have not been successful, because if those fools had weaponized it, we’d probably know about it.

Yeah, Obama’s policy was to let them into the U.S. during the last outbreak:

If the Democrats get back into power, this will be reverse and Obama’s policies will go back into effect, no travel ban on countries with Ebola.
