WASHINGTON CITY, Utah (KUTV) — Mia Bailey said she decided to kill her parents after her mother interfered with a gender transition surgery.
According to newly acquired interrogation video from Washington City police in June of 2024, then-28-year-old Bailey detailed what led her to kill both her parents, how she did it, and the flee from police that followed.
Bailey cited years of turmoil with her parents.
"I told them I was going to kill myself so many times," she said. "Mental health declining, that’s why I needed that surgery."
Bailey said she was dealing with an abusive family, was homeless, and had $20,000 in debt from hormone replacement therapy and other fees with transitioning.
She described that her one thing keeping her together was the plan for a gender affirming surgery but her mother called the hospital.
"She was trying to sabotage it. She always had boundary issues," Bailey said. "I had one thing going on, and she took that away from me. [...] She can't say sorry to save her life, apparently. And I gave her so many chances throughout my life."
Bailey said that led her to decide to kill her parents, saying, "Enough is enough, I'm taking someone with me".
"I went to my parents to do the deed. Kill them," she described. "It was spur-of-the-moment. I don’t regret it. I hate them. That was the last straw."
She said she went to their home with a gun bought from a pawn shop in town.
"I told myself to throw away that part of me," she described from entering her parents' home. "I ran in the door."
She said she shot about 12 rounds, including one round at her brother through a door. She said she didn’t think it...

The management at that TV station owes a responsibility to the world to report the facts, but instead they choose to call this man “her”. It is reprehensible.

You are correct but oddly the most important part of this article is the medias use of the word he or she and transgendered. There is a he and she and defined by chromosomes. You are either XX female or XY male and nothing else period. The dude may call himself a she but in reality he is a dude that murdered his parents due to a mental illness that we have not been made aware of in this discussion nor why he is this way.
A few of my friends are gay but just want to be left alone and function well in society at all levels. I know not of one that are militant crazies nor cutting off body parts and then make artificial additions. Most just want to get along and be a part of OUR society which is theirs also.
Sadly the end of this month I will be attending a funeral. He was such. He was my good friend for 25 years and friend of my wife also.

The photo of it looks like a male mimicking a female. The news report is symptomatic of the problem... they keep calling him “her” and “she” and referring to the sicko male as a female.
