Democrats rarely mention our nation’s fertility crisis, but when they do, they always offer the same solution: more immigration. Here is former President Bill Clinton stumping for Vice President Kamala Harris in the most recent presidential election.

"We got the lowest birth rate we've had in well over 100 years,” Clinton told Harris supporters less than a month before the 2024 election in Columbus, Georgia. “We're not at replacement level, which means we got to have somebody come here if we want to keep growing the economy."

“America is not having enough babies to keep our populations up,” Clinton continued, “So we need immigrants that have been vetted to do work.”

Not the first time this has happened. Historically when civilizations have reached their zenith, the birth rate declines as a prelude to collapse. Well documented to have happen to Rome. Now happening in Europe,Russia, even China. BTW widespread abortion and birth control accelerated the decline. There was massive immigration into Italy during Rome’s glory but the newcomers never aquired the Republican virtues that were Rome’s cultural foundation.

What could be done is to allow a mother and father both under 30 and married to be 1040 income tax-free in the calendar year they have a child and the year afterward.

For that to work against the cost of child daycare is to extend that exemption to the age of five.

We need to limit the ability of Democrats to buy votes by placing middle-class tax caps in the federal constitution.

Enter in bills for two constitutional amendments:

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAX AMENDMENT

Levies on any residential property of less than 2799 square feet of finished living space shall be no higher than the 2019 dollar amounts for the property, or for a newer or since resold property no higher than what it would have been levied at for 2019 if it lacked owner specific tax breaks, increased by 3% per calendar year since 2019 and by any percentage increase to its finished living space.

FEDERAL PERSONAL INCOME TAX AMENDMENT

Federal taxation on personal income shall be progressively capped as follows:
below 20% of the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 10%,
below 50% of the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 22%,
below the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 30%,
below the average federal full-time civilian employee compensation of the 100,000 largest recipients, 35%,
below the average federal full-time civilian employee compensation of the 10,000 largest recipients, 40%.

Fighting in Congress to send middle-class income and property taxation cap constitutional amendments to the states would make Congress turn deep red come 2027.

The high-income people have the Laffer Curve effect to protect them.

Philosophically I agree with you.

But the funny thing is my parents, just getting by on meager military pay had eight children over the course of fifteen years, while moving their family eight times to and from as many states. For the majority of those years either due to the location or the fact that the family could not live with my dad mom did not have the benefit of shopping for groceries at a base commissary, which also meant usually mom and we children did not have medical care from the military either. In fact most of us were born at private, not military, hospitals.
