Angry Democratic lawmakers held a venting session this weekend to complain about Virginia’s Supreme Court overturning its new gerrymandered map — and some of the Dems floated a “dramatic idea”: replacing the state’s Supreme Court in order to push through the new map anyway.
That’s according to a report from The New York Times on Sunday afternoon. The paper reported “struggling” Dems like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) held a private discussion on Saturday, where they fumed about the court’s ruling from a day earlier. They also strategized a potential counterstrike.
Journalist Reid J. Epstein reported the group discussed the “audacious and possibly far-fetched idea” to get the map they all desperately want. Not everyone loved the plan, though.

It gets politics and race entirely out of the picture and reduces the travel distance for candidates and representatives.
As I have posted about Maidenhead Grids, I've noticed folks from all parts of the political spectrum are for it, nobody against it.
I just now finally found a good explanation of how it and the sub squares works. Grid Square Locator System Explained
The map was a joke. The wording was a joke. The whole refusal to obey the law was a joke. In short, their hill to die on is just a joke.
Once their plan is published in the newspapers, they obviously can’t do it.
REVOLUTION , LOL
Never underestimate what a cornered animal will do. At this point, I think the communists are capable of almost anything.
Yes but there’s not much more dangerous than a flailing wounded animal with nothing much left to lose.
Who is most likely to gain the advantage by such as system?
I can see them completely ignoring the court ruling and going ahead with the redrawn districts anyway.
Just BS. Never happen
Never underestimate what someone fighting a cornered animal will do. People defending their families, their heritage, their country and way of life, are capable of almost anything.
The democrats don’t need no stinking laws or courts
All of our liberties are not supposed to be up for grabs with every election: that's what having a written Constitution and rule of law mean.
The only effective way to stop this is to suppress the Democrat Party for being what it is: a seditious and corrupt criminal conspiracy.
It’s becoming clearer and clearer that we don’t have anyLaw as far as these demons are concerned.
” People defending their families, their heritage, their country and way of life, are capable of almost anything.”
I don’t see that kind of fight happening. Conservatives are busy working, it’s the left that has legions of unemployed, indoctrinated scumbags willing to take to the streets, (for some Soros money).
The only effective way to stop this is to suppress the Democrat Party for being what it is: a seditious and corrupt criminal conspiracy.
.......
I voted in 2024 for obliteration and draining ..
That’s implied in that.
Newspaper? What’s that?
There are many, many reasons to be happy about Trump's domestic policies, but he just does not seem to sense the urgency of the situation, even when the Dems and their media flying monkeys are encouraging his assassination.
I've seen the clowns in those crowds you're talking about, and so have the working men and women of America you referred to. They've grown sick of it.
