MCDONOUGH, Ga. — A woman in Georgia is questioning her son’s three-day suspension after school officials said the 8-year-old brought a small LEGO creation resembling a gun to class, sparking debate over zero-tolerance discipline policies for young students.
“This is the weapon they say my child had,” the boy’s mother said while holding the LEGO creation. “This is clarified as a weapon to the school district.”
The mother said her son, who has autism and ADHD, did not threaten anyone or behave aggressively.
“My child did not go to school and say anything harmful or bad,” she said. “They could have simply explained to him, ‘Hey, we cannot build things that we think are a weapon or look like a gun.’”
She said she received a phone call from the school principal informing her that her son had brought a weapon to school.

It looks like more like a Star Trek phaser than a gun.
Looks really scary. More scary than a real AK-47.
Looks like a water sprinkler head.
Remember the kid suspended for this?
Maybe you’re referring to the teacher and principal’s heads?

Teacher: Oh, my God, he’s got a gub! Hit the floor.
A smart teacher would have said, “What else can you build?”,
and moved on.

I have said this many times: When LEGOs are outlawed, only outlaws will have LEGOs.
Now in all seriousness, I would expect this silly woke nonsense in San Francisco. But in Georgia?
🙁
If the child actually has autism and ADHD then he should have an IEP (Individualized Education Program) that shields him from pretty much any discipline unless the school jumps through many legal hoops. So there might be a bit more to this story.
That might be the very rare illudium Q36 space modulator!

Everyone involved in this idiotic suspension should be hit with a civil lawsuit!
It would have been vastly more dangerous if it were broken into its individual pieces and scattered on the floor.
Everyday the kid is suspended and everyday until the end of the school year the youngster will think of the shape of his Lego creation and the school’s administration.
