Iran refuses to address nuclear program in latest peace deal response to US

Iran’s response to the latest US peace proposal refuses to address its nuclear program — focusing instead on ending the fighting across the region, Iranian state media said Sunday.

The regime’s counter-offer, which was fired off to Pakistani mediators, seeks to ensure the security of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz before starting talks on more contentious issues — including Iran’s nuclear program, according to the IRNA news agency.

Washington’s latest proposal had addressed a deal to end the war, reopen the strait and roll back the regime’s nuclear program.

Our leaders in government need to wake up and realize the IRGC trained Hamas.

And they will never negotiate away their U-235, no matter the cost to their nation and people.

And no, the blockade will not work. Not least of all because the US and allies cannot tolerate the pain of a closed Strait. It's NOT sustainable.

Stop with the deals. There’s none to be made. Just win.

You have it backwards.

We are not closing the strait.

Iran needs to be dismantled like Germany and Japan were in 1945.

A "conditional" surrender will never work.

Iran claims they need nuclear power to generate electric power. Given that:

Northern/coastal (Caspian, parts near the Alborz): ~200–260 sunny days/year.
Central plateau (Tehran, Esfahan, Yazd): ~300–320 sunny days/year.
Southern and desert regions (Bandar Abbas, Lut Desert, Kerman): ~320–350 sunny days/year.

Seems to me the environmental freaks should be in Tehran arguing for solar farms...and they should stay there until they get them!

This is all really exciting for Israelis. The price of food, fuel and electricity matters to most Americas. All this fiddle farting around with foreign adventures is going to cost us the midterms and put democrats into power. And their GOAL is European prices for gasoline here in America, no natural gas at all, etc.

I referred your post. To Donald. You should be getting a call any minute now.

He said John Ratcliffe will fully cooperate as you assume your new duties.

Tehran, Iran’s capital, has a population of approximately 9.6 to 9.9 million in the city proper and over 16.8 million in the greater metropolitan area as of 2026. The Tehran province holds roughly 30% of Iran’s economy, serves as the hub for most Iranian industries, and covers 40% of the nation’s consumer market.

Trump and the GOP have suffered as much as they are going to for this war and the midterms are at worst a tossup. The senate will hold. No need to stop until it’s done. IRGC should worry about that.

This is hopefully going to force the US, and at least some of the world, to deal with an issue that is many decades overdue: Rendering the Strait of Hormuz redundant.

Not only for rogue actors, but unforeseen disasters which could take place unexpectedly. Even if Iran magically became a friendly regime that would not remove all of the issues with that Strait being too important for transport that disruption could be crippling.

At this point this is clear. These are delusional, hateful, ideologues. They cannot be reasoned with, and they most assuredly cannot be trusted. The IRGC needs to be completely eliminated as a meaningful force. Their conceit and hubris must be met with cold hard reality. To do less is to invite more pain and suffering in the world.

You don’t need uranium enriched to that degree for nuclear power.

Seriously this is a total waste of time, Iran is just waiting for Trump to be out of office so they can get their freebies and asses kicked by a Democrat President

A "conditional" surrender will never work.

So you're saying we should invade Iran?

Bad idea. The Democrats will win 400 seats in the House. Then they'll impeach Trump.
