Satellite imagery revealed a massive suspected oil slick spreading near Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export terminal, in what experts say could be evidence that Tehran’s oil infrastructure is buckling under mounting U.S. pressure.
The slick, seen in Copernicus Sentinel satellite images between Wednesday and Friday, covered roughly 45 square kilometers west of the island, according to analysts cited by Reuters.
The incident is emerging as a potential sign that Trump’s maritime pressure campaign is achieving one of its central objectives: overwhelming Iran’s export system to the point where Tehran can no longer move or store crude fast enough to sustain normal production.

The environment means nothing to these fanatics, power and money is all they care about.
Iran needs to give the oil to Trump and let Trump sail it out of the gulf.
Do we have the tech to scoop it up? Free oil!
“..The environment means nothing to these fanatics, power and money is all they care about....”
Are we talking about Iranian regime or dometic democrats???
Or...are they the same “peas in the pod”? so to speak? /s
Forevaaaa-
This is a regime that kills it’s own people in groves if they dare protest: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025%E2%80%932026_Iranian_protests
IMHO, this regime is so well entrenched and with a lack of concern for their own people, the security apparatus refined to the point (many years experience), with help from China especially in the realm of Internet and Telecom, Russia jamming systems, that it’ll be hard to pry these guys out of power.

Iran will mow their own people down with machine guns before something like this happens.
Perfect excuse to take out the refinery that feeds Karg Island and supplies 90 per cent of Iran’s oil revenues as well as selling a we are saving the environment narrative to the world’s environmental crazies in Europe and here.
The clear implication of the headline is Trump is causing an environmental catastrophe. What we have come to expect from the TDS a-holes at FNC.
It means nothing to EnviroNazis if it is one of their allies.
Capital idea.
Trump can claim it’s a humanitarian mission.
An environmental disaster created by the IRGC might even convince a couple marxist-greens to re-consider their support for Iran.
On second thought, maybe not....
they’ll still blame Trump.
If they are dumping oil in the gulf then it is time to bomb the source.
Time to buy stock in surfactant manufacturers.
Dawn is the best.
Kharg outputs crude, unrefined oil. Someone should understand if this intentional dumping, if it’s really that, can be shut down from Kharg. In which case taking island to stop the dumping is justified. Strikes me as a good job for, at least in part, the Saudi Army. Might need some help from us to get there and with logistics. But they should be able to hold it. And gulf states collectively should have the expertise to turn off Kharg and also should have the expertise and equipment to clean up the slick. It’s their water supply, etc. which is at risk. We shouldn’t have to do the clean up and oil field work.
What a waste.
What an environmental disaster.
The democrats must be secretly cheering --- oil $300 bbl., all Trump's fault and the mid-terms coming up...
“The environment means nothing to these fanatics, power and money is all they care about.”
Are you speaking of DC, Iran, or Israel?
I hope DJT doesn’t lose sight of the necessity of regime change in Iran. No more IRGC or Mullahs.
My understanding is that they are letting ships in through the strait so they can fill them with oil as they are running out of places to store it.
