Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday once again shut down the idea of a possible gas tax holiday as gas prices in the state climb near record highs and as experts suggest it's something lawmakers could do to help consumers.
"Is Donald Trump promoting that? Why isn't Donald Trump providing a federal gas tax holiday?" the governor said when KCRA 3 asked him if he would consider the holiday.

"I'm proud of our leadership and our competitiveness," he said.
Yeah Newsom you campaign on that when you run for president
Good time for Trump to announce another holiday.
Ive seen Gavin downtown by the capital twice now. He is as slimy as every picture portrays. Even more so. The guy is such a royal prick that i actually hope bad things happen to him. Of course nothing will happen because bad things only seem to happen to good people.
71+ cents for state gas tax vs 18.4 cents per gallon fed.
It's a mystery to me which tax would save citizens more if either disappeared
'for a holiday'
Demand Destruction. A “Progressive “ wet dream

We’re paying $5 for the same thing we paid $3 for just months ago. Someone is asking bank.
Supply and demand. Typically, demand ramps up just as the weather gets warmer, so with the arrival of Memorial Day and lasting until about Labor Day, already onerous gasoline prices will tend to go higher still.
When some 20% of the crude oil being shipped around the world has to go through the Strait of Hormuz, and there is serious restriction of that traffic, the world oil market is only driven higher. The US can make up some part of that deficit, but only part. Meanwhile, out trade balance just keeps showing better and better, driven by higher prices on the export market.
Indiana is getting a sixty-cent per gallon reprieve. Our governor hit pause on sales tax and excise taxes.
Yeah for getting one right!
My uninformed opinion is near $20 per gallon fuel.
I was in Needles California yesterday.
The cheap gas was $ 7.29 a gallon.
I crossed into Arizona and bought gas at $4.50
I wonder if Gov hairgel decides anything for himself or just waits on CCP Xi for his marching orders.
