Tucker Torches Ted Cruz, Calls Him ‘Morally Repulsive’ in NYT Podcast Clash

Tucker Carlson just lobbed a rhetorical grenade at Sen. Ted Cruz, telling a New York Times podcast audience that the Texas Republican is "more morally repulsive" than white-nationalist influencer Nick Fuentes. The comments, which surfaced over the weekend, instantly recharged old arguments inside the GOP over Israel, the Iran war and who poses the bigger danger to the party’s future. Cruz wasted little time firing back on social media, turning what started as a policy beef into an unmistakably personal feud.

NYT interview: Carlson singles out Cruz

On The New York Times podcast "The Interview," host Lulu Garcia-Navarro put Carlson on the spot with a blunt question: "Who do you think is more morally repulsive: Ted Cruz or Nick Fuentes?" Carlson responded, "Ted Cruz," arguing that as an elected official with real power, Cruz had supported policies that led to the deaths of "people who did nothing wrong." According to The New York Times, Carlson used the moment to draw a sharp contrast between online extremists and the direct, tangible consequences of lawmakers' votes and rhetoric.

At this point being called out by Tucker might be mostly a badge of honor.

However you can plainly see how the Slimes baited Tucker based of of the Paper's own toxic bias. Every republican pretty much is supporting the President on this, yet the Slimes has common ground here with Tucker in hating one of our better Senators.

Tucker Carlson could make some good points but then he veers off into statements like this. Is Carlson making some legitimate criticisms of Israel and the Iran War? Yes. But then he calls Cruz morally repulsive or says Trump is the anti-Christ and completely undermines his own credibility to the point where people who might have been receptive to him just tune out.

Ted Cruz is a great senator

I’m really glad he represents me.

I’d love to see him on the Supreme Court too.

Where are you and Tucker staying this weekend ?

Tucker is one of the old Secular Humanist pundits who now thinks is a Biblical pundit without the Biblical knowledge.

That makes no sense
If Cruz is anti Trump why would Trump nominate him to SCOTUS

I watched a clip of this interview on YouTube.
In it the interviewer confronted him about a statement he had made about something.
Tucker said: “I never said that”.
Then she played the clip of Tucker saying exactly what he denied saying. Basically catching him in lie.
He had no response.

This means he is either lying on purpose to propagate a certain narrative/spin/disinformation OR he is delusional.
Not sure which one it is.
I suspect the former.
I just know I was a follower and defender of Tucker until just recently.
Now, I am not.

If Tucker MADE good points about the Iran war, then I’d agree. But last summer, he predicted bombing the nuke site would start WW3 and the end of the world. He has repeatedly predicted “boots on the ground” with another 10+ year quagmire and that has NOTHING to do with anything happening.

Perhaps more important, involving both Israel and the USA, he claims the death of even ONE innocent person makes the war illegitimate and totally evil - while neglecting the many innocent deaths war can and will prevent!

Hamas wants EVERY JEW in Israel dead. That’s 10 million Jews. Tucker ignores them, and ignores that Hamas and Iran both DELIBERATELY TARGET INNOCENTS! He ignores all those Iran has killed, including 40-50,000 in January.

He is a moral IDIOT - much like the Pope is. A pope has a right to say any given war is an unjust war but he needs to do so in line with Catholic teaching and explain why. But neither the Pope nor Tucker make any attempt to do so.

War is evil. But refusing to defend your people is a much greater evil. In a fallen world, we often are forced to choose between 2 evil options. Total good is not an option on the table. Pretending it is makes both Tucker and Pope TDS more and intellectual embarrassments.

“...Slimes baited Tucker...”

Didn’t take much to do it. Carlson has been a liberal tool and back shooter for years starting when he was host of Crossfire back in the 90’s. He knew what he was saying and could have backed the manure off. He’s just a low level political hack.
