Donald Trump is on the verge of securing a sweeping peace deal with Iran that would lift US sanctions, free billions in frozen assets and open a path to uranium enrichment, mirroring the Barack Obama pact he spent years trashing.
If signed, a 30-day window would open for both countries to negotiate a larger agreement covering the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of all US sanctions on Iran, and new limits on its nuclear program.
The deal calls for Iran to halt all uranium enrichment for 12 to 15 years with automatic extensions if Tehran violates the terms, according to Axios.

Trump has surrendered to Iran.

I don’t rank dm as ‘confirmation’...but the headline is disturbing to state the least.
All that military action for this? Very foolish to not finish them off, while we got them on the ropes. The regime can still be their terrorist selves. Inspections’? Yeah sure, the bustards can’t be trusted.

Many months later after the Japanese unconditional surrender some in the Japanese army were attacking the US, In FACT there were holdouts even 30-years later!
Did that mean Japan did not surrender? Those of us who live in reality understand a fragmented people will not be perfectly aligned to the country’s goals and commitments, that does not mean the country as a whole is represented by such holdouts.

For some odd reason Trump is still clinging to the Tucker Carlson nutjob fringe of “MAGA” and expecting they will GOTV for the GOP without him on the ticket in the midterms if he completes a U turn on Iran. Their support is never coming back but the consquences of a weak deal with Death to America Iran will stay with us forever.
