Okay, if we’re goo going to do this, I suggest we go full-on Jew and demand a Jubilee Year: A forgiveness of debt. Jubilee (50th Year): Focuses on restoring land ownership and releasing individuals who sold themselves into slavery.Sabbath Year (7th Year): Focuses on the immediate cancellation of debts owed to creditors.

I’d like to see people released from generational debt-slavery. Will it happen? Of course not, because the merchant and very powerful banking class would never allow it, many of those folks Jewish themselves.

But even so, I’d like to see this. This is something penned by God Himself, to keep a civilization chugging along. Why not.

Whenever people talk about the founding of this nation, the talk invariably goes to the black folks and that this country was built on slavery. What a benefit they were. Recently, a reparations committee came up with a figure of 7 quadrillion dollars, which is a wage 24 hours a day for the length of time they were enslaved.

In reality, the south was crushed by the north, and the northerners had no slaves. The south was poorer and not able to do the basic things to fight a war properly and the south was saddled with slavery. I would make the argument that slavery weakened this country, and not built it.

That being said, why not benefit a people, Jews, whose ideas/customs/beliefs actual helped found this country. The argument could be made realistically.
