Supreme Court Temporarily Restores Access to Abortion Pill by Mail

The Supreme Court on Monday restored nationwide access to a widely used abortion medication in a temporary order that will, for now, allow women to once again obtain the pill mifepristone by mail.

In a brief order, Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. paused a lower-court ruling from Friday that had prevented abortion providers from prescribing the pills by telemedicine and shipping them to patients, causing confusion for providers and patients. The one-sentence order imposes a pause until at least May 11. He requested that the parties file briefs by Thursday, and then the full court will determine how to proceed.

The state of Louisiana sued the Food and Drug Administration to restrict access to mifepristone, saying the availability of the medication by mail has allowed abortions to continue in the state despite its near-total ban.

Medication is now the method used in nearly two-thirds of abortions in the United States, and is typically delivered in the form of a two-drug regimen through the first 12 weeks of pregnancy....

Satan’s Army can’t stand the thought of not allowing thousands of babies to be slaughtered every day.

They’re running out of places to run to. We’re headed in the same direction. Perhaps a ‘safe zone’ Trump promised-won’t be in the mideast. In this new place socialism will have to be outlawed. Which continent? Southern hemisphere as most of the problems are in the north. Watch the flushing toilets spin in the other directions.

Medication abortions are every bit as horrific as surgical ones. The fetus is essentially starved and strangled by having its life-giving connection to its mother severed. Then the lifeless (if it is dead by then) unborn baby is expelled from the uterus by force caused by another medication inducing contractions.

The current system allows most mothers to monitor and administer these drugs by self-diagnosis. THEY will decide when to take them, even if the progress of the pregnancy is further along than recommended. They could conceivably abort a viable fetus, just by an act of their own will.

what is worrisome is that if it ends up in the wrong hands, it can be administered to someone pregnant, unbeknownst to her, to cause an unexpected abortion - similar to date rape drugs.

If I can order abortifacients by mail that are banned in my state, then I can also order alcohol, cigarettes, firearms, normal sized firearm magazines, bayonets, fireworks, marijuana, etc.

In other words; state law does not exist.

Unfortunately, it is abusive government to peek into parcels and letters and snoop around for abortion pills.

You want pro life? Abolish the post office. That is pro life.

You want pro life? Abolish Obamacare and other unconstitutional government/healthcare usurpations. That is pro life.

Stop with they tyrannical dictator stuff in the name of “pro-life”, it is hypocritical.

Big government is “pro-death”.

Using mifepristone without a doctor’s supervision is dangerous to the mother and can result in her death!

And it is 100% fatal to the child!

Adoption!

How does abolishing the Post Office show “pro-life”?

Bank on it that there are entire industries waiting for the Supreme Court decision with the intention of suing to ship their products into states that ban them. And the banning states will have no argument to stop them since they already argued in support of it.

Not having babies is suicidal to a culture.

I've read that these are not "appropriate" for ectopic pregnancies and can quickly kill the woman who has this condition. But since a doctor is not involved, it's a bomb waiting to blow up.

Ectopic pregnancies usually present acutely (and painfully), so any woman having one knows something major is wrong.

Government should not be used to distribute this kind of material. Each time it is sent in the USPS, it is subsidized.
