Police said the bomb squad had detonated what they assessed to be a hand grenade in a controlled explosion, rendering it harmless, after cordoning off several streets in Malmo, southern Sweden, on Friday.
Police had asked residents, as well as people in restaurants, stores and other establishments to remain inside after the object was found.

"Malmö has historically been the epicenter of hand grenade attacks in Sweden, with incidents frequently linked to organized crime and the availability of vintage ex-Yugoslavian M75 grenades smuggled from the Balkans. The city has seen a significant volume of these attacks, including over 30 explosions reported in Malmö alone by August 2015, and the Swedish police have issued warnings about undetonated grenades lying hidden in the city, which pose a severe safety risk, particularly to children."

Several years ago I read they had over 150 grenade attacks in Malmo alone.
I have a Nord Electro 2 keyboard. It was made in Malmö.

I read somewhere that many police in Malmö have to go to work in armored buses. The bus picks them up at home. It is too dangerous for them to just drive to work.
That Diversity thing sure has some weird side effects.

Shoulda detonated it by pulling the pin and tossing it in the nearest mosque.
I was thinking about running a grenade toss for our city celebration this year. Buy 10 inert grenades and charge a person $1 per throw and if you get your grenade in the 50 gallon drum you could put your name into the hat to win half the pot at the end of the weekend. I would spend a buck to throw a grenade at the fair.
