Two weeks
I remember someone holding up a sign that said “15 days to slow the spread.”
Hmmmm who was that? I forget.
Nothing is as it seemed at one time, I guess.
As much as I’d like to finish these devils off I think at some point Trump will need to declare victory and leave. Hopefully the regime is weakened enough that the Iranian people will be able to finish them off.

Hmmmmm. It was the Federal medical establishment. Had Trump overruled them, he would have gained ownership of every covid case thereafter. You can’t figure that out?
And he did not specify any time period for the extended blockade.
Oh wait! I remember now. It was several years and the supply chains are still effed up.
I don’t know if I can believe anything from this story. First, it has Trump calling for the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program. Is there anything left to it, after all the bombing? Second, it assumes Mojtaba Khamenei is alive.
Tomorrow the War Powers Resolution kicks in.
I don’t expect Congress to block Trump’s actions regarding Iran.
But you never know.
This is exhausting. And not working. The bombing campaign needs to resume. But heh its great for my oil stock portfolio.

President Trump will be kneecapped by Congress if the war in Iran does not end soon. That "ending soon" looks unlikely.
The Iranians in the IRGC simply need to hold out long enough for the Democrats (and the Republicans) in Congress to end the war for them. Maybe they can do that.
FWIW, I support the war in Iran and believe we should utterly destroy the IRGC.

Duplicate the 1973 Oil Embargo (except twice the size) but this time it is Trump doing it instead of the Arabs.
Trump is going to be as popular as OPEC was in 1973.

So, why does a blockade of Iran have to involve other ships carrying commerce from and to other countries passing through the Strait? Why does the blockade of something like 2% of world oil supply that can easily be made up for by any of several producers cause oil prices to soar if those other shipments can transit the Straits?
Somebody is making a hell of a lot of money in oil trading with the benefit of this ham fisted blockade by Trump. I wonder who it might be?

That would be an interesting argument for Trump to make. And to avoid taking any responsibility, Congress might just buy it.
But it certainly goes against the spirit of the Resolution.
