Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? Sorry, gonna rant a bit here and drop the formal tone.
Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo.
What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing.
No damn security.
Not in transport.
Not in the hotel.
Not in the event. Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance.
I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat.
The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before.
Like, this level of incompetence is insane, and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets actually competent leadership again.

This is symbolic of how we are literally bleeding for reform here at home . The work of national security from WITHIN must take precedent over foreign wars...There is a complete loss of priority.
Not just the border stuff, but reform of the Secret Service and FBI, infrastructure and security everywhere not just D.C. etc...
The ballroom is great, what its critics don’t even care to mention is that it’ll be a legacy FUTURE administrations will enjoy...Trump will be out of office or nearing it by the time it’s finished.
This is one nutty teacher from California. He really didn’t have a plan. Imagine if the Iranians actually had a well thought- out and funded plan. This makes us look comical. Like fools. Children. Who gets fired? Everybody from top to bottom. Start over
Exaggerated. Security was everywhere. You can’t “bug” hotel rooms.
I’ve been through 4 Presidential visits at hotels I worked in. Dogs everywhere. They sweep the room hallways at least twice a day. Security goes with an agent and enter every unoccupied room and check.
Then on the day of the event they knock and enter occupied rooms.
All guests are informed.
Elevators were controlled. No one could get onto the floor of the event without tickets. Stairs are manned.
Snipers everywhere. Cops outside.
My questions are 1) how did he get onto the 2nd floor?
2) When did check in? If the day of, his luggage would have been wanded and dog sniffed.
3) Why wasn’t an agent on the other side of the scanners?
Why is it that the younger generations have been brainwashed into thinking anyone gives a crap about what they think to the point they write manifestos like ‘Mein Kampf’ like Hitler did???
All I know is, Taylor Swift has better security than Washington D.C.
There are ways of beefing places up without turning the entire country into a police state.
We can reform AND fight a war at the same time - kind of like walking and chewing gum.

There are over 1100 rooms at that hotel with guests coming and going like mad. Securing entry to the ballroom was effective. But obviously more needs to be done. How far ahead of time does mag walk-through need to start?
Dangerous world. The ballroom would have been nice, but the president is out and about so dang much.

RFK Jr should have told Trump, “You know maybe a hotel isn’t the safest place to go.”
I noticed they got Vance out of there quickly, but then several seconds went by with Trump’s detail looking around before they actually surrounded and moved him. Almost as if they were saying, “Well, is he gonna shoot, or what?”.
Trump needs Israeli Mossad-like security. Get frosty.
All we can say is thank God this shooter was an absolute MORON who had no idea what he was doing..he was NOT a trained assassin, he was an idiot, a professional assassin would have killed people while they were waiting to enter the ballroom, in the video where you see him running, 45 minutes prior there were hundreds of people standing there waiting to get in, a professional would have struck then, but this guy is a moron..your typical CNN/MSNBC viewer who spends all day being brainwashed by leftist morons all he said in that manifesto of his is what you hear on a daily basis from those clowns

Not all security is visible. Dude missed even the *normal* surveillance in a hotel like this these days.
Surveillance cameras used in commercial facilities are often extremely unobtrusive unless they’re budget models or they are being used as a visible deterrent.
