“Iranian officials left peace talks in Pakistan this afternoon without meeting the US delegation, ruling out 'maximalist demands'. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad on Friday and held a series of meetings with Pakistani officials, including the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, today. But Iran said it would 'not accept maximalist demands' as their officials left without meeting US representatives.”

Trump probably needs to escalate by the end of the month to get Congressional support.
The first bomb should go down the well in Qom. But that would upset some sensitive people.
Naw I was told there were DESPERATE to make a deal.
In a war if you win the coin toss, never elect to receive ... again.
See my tag line.
They should bunker buster down the frickin’ well and bury their imam mahdi for good.

Somebody is desperate to make a deal.
With Iran losing 1/2 billion dollars in trade everyday and their oil wells soon to be shut down the situation in Iran is going to get even more grim than it already is. The people, who started this with their protests will have no choice but to rise again , if only out of desperation. The regime is certainly not any more popular after murdering 42,000 of its own people. It is going to have a hard time cracking down this time around with US forces just waiting to break them again.

Iran wants bombing because their allies, the democrats and the media, will ise it against Trump politically. This is their only path to survival.
The US, on the other hand, doesn’t really have much left to bomb and can do far more damage just by continuing the blockade. It’s a far better option to destroy the IRGC. Bombing took out their nuclear capability and their military industrial complex. They can’t do anything about the blockade.
Walking away from the talks only hurts themselves
Without so much as a “By your leave?”.

Sounds right: Trying to bait PDJT into bombing them in anger.
The President is clearly trying not to destroy anything that would make the general population of Iran turn against him. He wants regime change , but he also wants the Iran people themselves to do it .
One might think Trump is getting played by these terrorists. However I am not so sure. He knows who these people are and is no fool.
I think he is going through all these negotiation sessions to show Congress, Europe and the world he did everything to avoid violence before he smacks them hard again.
Huh.
Someone here has an original thought.
