The Rich Men north of Richmond may have won for a day, but they cashed out every ounce of public goodwill they had to do it.
If they truly wanted non-partisan redistricting, they would have pushed the Virginia Model to the other 49 states. So spare me — not interested.

From the first couple sentences I didn’t get much nor was o inspired to read more

No taxation without representation! Virginia republicans should not be required to pay taxes if they’ve been disenfranchised.
The RAT AG is contesting the ruling. It will end up in the VA Supreme Court.

I’m wondering how the redistricting the democrats have been using for decades to eliminate Republican representation in blue states could be addressed. Maybe that’s the angle!
I’ve seen some graphics showing how blatant it is (see in the other thread linked below) ....

I clicked on the X in the corner of the paywall type popup at the article link and it disappeared, showing full access.
The re-districting which extended broken up, high population, deep blue districts in Northern Virginia west and south into sparsely populated red areas violates Article 2, Section 6 of the Virginia Constitution:
"Every electoral district shall be composed of contiguous and compact territory and shall be so constituted as to give, as nearly as is practicable, representation in proportion to the population of the district."
The Dem/Yes side “won” the referendum completely on the back of Mail-In ballots.
Including all voting methods except Mail-In, No won by 45,722 votes.
Yes received 216,436 votes by Mail-In.
No received 81,798 votes by Mail-In.
That’s 2.65 times more Mail-In Yes than No.
Yes voters chose Mail-In at 2.5 times the rate of No voters.
Yes received 134,638 more votes by Mail-In than No.
That was enough to wash out No’s 45,722 lead in all other formats, and win the referendum by 89,916 votes.
.
Perhaps there was fraud. Nothing will be done about it.
Perhaps there was vote harvesting. Nothing will be done about it.
Perhaps the Republicans running the No campaign were too dumb, resistant to change, lazy, or cheap to push Republicans and Independents to vote by Mail.
The good news is that IF the Republican Party heavily promotes and facilitates Mail-In voting for the midterms, it can win in Virginia. If any of you know the Party’s State leadership, could you please slap this reality into their sleepy heads?
The one who wants to kill political opponents.
It is not a matter of Republicans not showing up to vote and the GOP establishment needs to drop that myth.
Even if Republican voters had a 100% turnout, the democrats would still manufacture enough votes to have a 110% vote.
In Northern Virginia, totally controlled by democrats, vote fraud is rampant. They produce them from multiple sources, illegal aliens, green card immigrants, unpurged rolls, out of state college students, moved former residents, and of course, dead voters.
Rather than imagine a fictitious excuse that Republican voters don’t turn out, Republican “leadership” should be fighting for the Save Act to stop the vote fraud. But they don’t and won’t.
Good post.
