President Donald Trump has pushed to bring the war with Iran to a speedy end: He stepped up bombing raids. He threatened to wipe out infrastructure. He has attempted diplomacy and ordered a naval blockade. But Tehran is in no rush to cut a deal.
Despite the assassinations of its leaders and the damage to an array of military sites, Iran’s regime seems to have benefitted politically from the attacks started by the U.S. and Israel, according to a Western diplomat with knowledge of the conflict and five Western officials, all with knowledge of intelligence assessments on Iran. The regime is, improbably, more stable now than before the war and slightly more hard line, five of the officials said.

Honestly, analysis of the irrational and murderous leaders of Iran in the context of normal people is a fool’s errand.
They unhesitatingly mowed down 35-40,000 dissidents in public for not supporting the regime. Were ready to unemotionally hang eight young women in public.

Agreed. 100% fiction by MSM who are desperate to grasp any straws of negativity. Iran’s leaders are not “patient” but rather they are backed into a corner with no way out. If they surrender they will be strung up like Qaddafi. But alternatively there is no way they can inflict much damage by fighting as their military has been shredded. The only remaining strategy is to shut down the straits and see if Trump caves. But this strategy is also backfiring as Iran is running out of money, water etc.
Ultimately it is a war between the US military and the US media. If IRGC wins the media war (as Taliban and Vietcong did) then it wins in the sense that it stays in power. But it will be a pyrric victory.
