Why a Supreme Court Justice Apologized to a Trump Appointee

Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued a rare apology after criticizing the background of her conservative colleague Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She had questioned whether he understood the lives of hourly workers during a speech at a law school.

Sotomayor said Kavanaugh’s reasoning showed a disconnect from regular people because his parents were professionals.

“This is from a man whose parents were professionals. And probably doesn’t really know any person who works by the hour.”

The liberal justice later walked back those comments and confirmed she apologized to Kavanaugh directly. The case at the center of the fight involved the Supreme Court’s conservative majority lifting limits on immigration sweeps.

The Trump administration told the court that officers need flexibility to do their jobs without lower-court restrictions. Sotomayor had dissented from that decision before taking her frustrations public.

Her real frustrations stem from the dirty trickery of the left, dumping an avalanche of cases onto the court.

No Justice should concern themselves with their “feelings” about anything.

The apology is BS. She meant every word of what she said. She is a vile rat hack just like every Justice the Democrats shove in there.

She actually has a reputation for treating the staff at the Supreme Court condescendingly, like they are her personal valets.

Justices are to interpret the law not the biography or imagined motives of other justices.

Indeed and sometimes it’s a matter of who you know or the family you come from.

Wonder what it sounds like being at a party with only snobs?.
