Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Sunday urged the EU to end its association agreement with Israel.
In an escalation of his criticism against Israel, he said during a rally in Andalusia that “a government that violates international law or the principles of the EU cannot be its partner.”
Spain will formally propose the termination of the agreement at a meeting of EU foreign ministers on Tuesday in Luxembourg.
Sánchez has emerged as one of Israel’s most vocal critics in the EU. He accused Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of committing genocide in Gaza and denounced the joint U.S.-Israel strikes against Iran as an “immense error.” …

“International law”: solemn declarations by an unelected, self-declared elite of greater than one Western European country, selectively chosen and selectively interpreted. I have trouble taking it seriously.

I favor the US staying in the UN solely because of our veto power there. But we of course have no such veto with NATO or the EU.
Spain has just given us another reason to get out of NATO. With only a few exceptions, Europe has gone crazy. Let them sink or swim on their own.
Side note to any sane European generals remaining: Military coups are sometimes necessary. Just saying.

Maybe Spain should be expelled from the EU.

But not from the EU’s point of view, is what I’m saying. They are very much in line with mainstream EU sentiment, here.
This is the EU without the Islamism, either way.
And after reading the North Atlantic Treaty, I found that the wording was rendered in such a way as to damage the USA and promote the reverse of what it claimed. Scary stuff.
