President Trump said that China has agreed not to send weapons to Iran amid reports it plans to give Tehran new air defense systems — and predicted Chinese leader Xi Jinping “will give me a big, fat, hug” when they meet next month.
Trump further claimed Wednesday that Xi is “very happy” about his efforts to open the Strait of Hormuz, a day after officials in China slammed his blockade as “dangerous and irresponsible.”
“China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also — And the World,” Trump crowed on Truth Social. “This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran.
“President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks,” he added. “We are working together smartly, and very well! Doesn’t that beat fighting??? BUT REMEMBER, we are very good at fighting, if we have to – far better than anyone else!!!”

I kinda suspect that China is lying.
F-15Es do not have PAWS, a proximity warning system that detects incoming missiles that cannot be picked up by RWR (typically radar guided missiles are picked up by this.)
PAWS can detect IR missiles incoming allowing the pilot to deploy flares and evade.
A lot of people dont realize that eluding an incoming missile requires a lot of jinking and high energy maneuvers. The moment you bleed all your energy in turns, that’s it. Pull the ejection handles.
Just as important to stop sending weapons to Israel...starve the beast.

President Trump and his advisers have worked under the assumption that China and Russia will do nothing other than supplying war materiel to Iran. Russia’s inability to intervene is evident; they are bogged down in Ukraine. China under Xi has not shown any evidence that they will use their extensive army, navy, and air force for offensive operations. The CCP strategy has been to use economic influence and political infiltration to expand Chinese power. Besides, any Chinese fleet would have to pass through the Strait of Malacca to reach the Persian Gulf. The PLA army and air force could enter Iran through Central Asia but that would require a supply chain nightmare of a 4,000 mile road or 6,500 mile rail distance through several countries. Even if the Persian Gulf remains blocked, the Chinese can get oil and natural gas from other sources such as Russia.
Trump is a delusional. Xi is playing him for a fool. As Putin has done.

President Trump had ordered the Navy to stop any ships from transiting the Strait of Hormuz after weekend peace talks in Pakistan ended with no agreement. But ship trackers showed that several Iran-linked vessels had traveled through the strait after Central Command began its blockade operation on Monday. It was not immediately clear from independent sources if there was any Iranian shipping traffic in the region on Wednesday morning.”

At the same time, I would think Trump would offer Russia and China some of the spoils, if at the very least they stay out of it, i.e., stay out of Iran, and we’ll stay out of Ukraine.
