Politico's senior executive editor, Alexander Burns, has a long history of attempting to foist far left politics upon the public. In his latest incarnation on Monday, Burns uses the defeat of Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán at the polls to argue the Democrats need to embrace socialism if they want to defeat the nasty MAGA Republicans at the polls, "Orbán’s Defeat Shows What Trump’s Opponents Keep Doing Wrong."

Thank you very much and God bless you.

In a parallel universe where Orban won the election, then the Politico reporter would use that as the reason why Democrats must go FULL LEFT. Alexander Burns has been doing this same tired shtick for years.

Orban lost to a guy who was equally conservative and used t be in the same political party.
Politico which is currently owned by the Germans, is smoking crack.

Exactly. Politico is run by ignorant twits. The lesson from Hungary is to tack far right.

After the way they were brutally treated for 40 years by the evil Soviet Union, Hungary has no patience for Russian dupes.

Orban lost because he decided to become a Putin stooge.

Good riddance.

Magyar beat Orban because he is Orban without all the negative baggage. Corruption, bad economy, pedo scandal, subservience to Putin. Orban and his Fidesz party lost the confidence of the voters.

The EU’s favorite party, the socialist “Democratic Coalition” or DK, didn’t win a single seat. All 199 seats are filled by Magyar’s Tisza, Orban’s Fidesz-KDNP or the nationalist “Our Homeland Movement” party.
