First lady Melania Trump delivered a rare, brief statement Thursday afternoon at the White House, coming out swinging at those who have linked her to Jeffrey Epstein, calling them "devoid of ethical standards."
The remarks lasted roughly three minutes and did not include questions from the press.
"The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today," she said. "I do not object to their ignorance, but rather I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation."

I was somewhat surprising to see the First Lady speaking out directly on this long held rumor. I’m glad she faced her accusers and directly dealt with this topic herself, vs asking the president to do so for her, which, I’m sure, he would have done, had she asked.
It’s rare that our First Lady speaks to us on such personally felt topics.
Whereas, the previous First Lady. Michelle O, incessantly talks AT us about all her personal quibbles and factors of disgust. I certainly understand why First Lady Melania usually keeps her guard up while in public, after being treating poorly by the media during Trump’s first term.

If you watch the movie as I did, you can quickly see she couldn’t even imagine being involved in Epstein’s crazy life.
