Israel said it wiped out the Hezbollah chief’s top secretary in targeted strikes on Lebanon overnight — as it ramped up attacks Thursday despite the risk of throwing President Trump’s Iran war cease-fire into turmoil.
Ali Youssef Kharshi, the secretary and nephew of Hezbollah honcho Naim Qassem, was killed in Beirut amid the fresh wave of bombings, the Israel Defense Forces said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also confirmed the strike while vowing such attacks on Iran-backed Hezbollah proxies across Lebanon would only continue with “force, precision and determination.”
“In Beirut, we eliminated Ali Youssef Kharshi, the personal secretary of Hezbollah terror organization Secretary-General Naim Qassem and one of the people closest to him,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
“At the same time, overnight, the IDF struck a series of terror infrastructures in southern Lebanon: crossings used to transfer thousands of weapons, rockets, and launchers, as well as weapons depots, launchers, and Hezbollah headquarters.”
“Our message is clear: Whoever acts against Israeli civilians — will be struck,” he added.

Exactly. Since when did Iran reach a ceasefire agreement with Israel? Never happened.
Targeted implies precision, which is not the word I'd use.
(As of my last recollection, yesterday's strikes have already resulted in over 150 dead and several hundred injured.)
So...you are o.k. with (presumably) YOUR government reaching a ceasefire agreement for the purpose of reopening the Straight of Hormuz....and then (presumably) NOT YOUR country using weapons acquired from (presumably) YOUR country to break the ceasefire and cancel the agreement that (presumably) YOUR country just made to keep the straight open?

Iran is cheating as usual. Iran feels free to claim the right to strike others that are not in the deal but whines when struck back. Trying to leverage a ceasefire by expanding it to other Nations, collecting tolls not in the cease ire agreement. Time for the mullah to go.

Israel is using our weapons and our aid to break the ceasefire we negotiated to keep the straight open.

Well, from what I can tell, Iran seems to think that Kuwait isn’t covered under the ceasefire agreement. I thought it was.
So yeah, if there is a lot of gray here, I think it’s happening on both sides.
FWIW, I think the ceasefire “agreement” is just a ploy by Iran/IRGC to take some time to gather its strength. I don’t trust them, the same way I don’t trust Democrats.
An Israeli once told me regarding deals with Muslims, “The deal is never the deal. Once you shake hands, they continue to add codicils and paragraphs. It never stops, which means you never actually have a deal.”

These were 3 way negotiations.
2 of the parties agree that it was a part of the agreement and the other doesn’t.
What is more likely, Pakistan and Iran are lying/getting it wrong and cessation of the attacks on Lebanon was something that Iran forgot to mention during negotiations....

The cease fire will be lucky to make it to the weekend anyway. I don’t see the Straits of York’s opening up.
