Megyn Kelly on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" discussed the damage sustained by the Trump political coalition, the global economy, and U.S. allies, after 40 days at war with Iran.
“The question is now not, who has Trump lost. The question is who remains," she said about the MAGA coalition. "He’s underwater with men, including young men and young people. The young person coalition that Charlie Kirk delivered to the president is gone. They’ve abandoned Donald Trump."
"These battles in the Middle East have been fought now for 20-plus years, and we continue to learn the same lesson over and over. It’s not their navies or air power that keep us mired in quagmires—it’s their insurgencies. It’s this desperate way of fighting that we don’t know how to handle. We can’t tamp it down with the amazing power of an aircraft carrier—which, by the way, we had trouble even getting close after they figured out how to attack it. We’ve already learned this. Trump watched us learn it."
"We are sick of being the policemen of the world," Megyn Kelly said. "We care about what’s happening in Iowa, not Iran. They don’t want more weeks of debates over the Strait of Hormuz. No one cares. They care about their own lives."
"They care about the fact that they can’t pay for healthcare. They can’t buy a home. Young people cannot get a home, even though two people are working nonstop, round the clock, with no vacations in this country."
"So we’ve upset our allies. We’ve pleased Israel—although now they’re upset there’s a ceasefire.

MEGYN KELLY: The deal sounds very much like surrender on our part—which I’m in favor of. I mean, great. This needed to end--ugly or any other way. It was folly to begin with. It was folly throughout. It remains folly.
...
The Iranians proved to be tough MF-ers. And they realized they had something far more powerful than a nuclear bomb: control over the Strait of Hormuz. Trump was warned prior to getting involved in this conflict by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs that they were not likely to collapse easily and that they probably would maintain control of the strait and could cause a global economic panic. And he didn’t listen.
The only thing saving the GOP is that the Dems are batschit crazy.
She does not seem very Islamic to me.
Allah and men don’t like loud mouthed women.
I doubt she hit the carpet for her morning prayers.
“control over the Strait of Hormuz”
US Navy aircraft carriers can be protected, right?
Torpedoes and anti-ship missiles have been around for decades. All US Navy warships should have means of dealing with them, most especially escort vessels.
Drones have been used in Ukraine for over four years. The US Navy should have protective means by now.
> “We are sick of being the policemen of the world,” Megyn Kelly said. “We care about what’s happening in Iowa, not Iran.” <
She’s right. That doesn’t mean that Trump was necessarily wrong in attacking Iran.
It does mean that many GOP-leaning voters are getting wobbly. Unless Americans can clearly see the danger (like after Pearl Harbor) they will want quick results. And they will have little patience for anything drawn out.
I’d like a show of hands from those who think the Ayatollah is peaceful and can be trusted with nuclear weapons.
Tucker, ok.
Et tu. Megyn?
“The only thing saving the GOP is that the Dems are batschit crazy.”
So is a huge segment of the voting public.
The “Bingo” moment here is recognizing the divide between a cult of personality and a covenant of principles. While some continue to view leadership through a “flat earth” lens of blind devotion, we must maintain a clear-headed, transactional reality: The President is a man, not a prophet. He is not “chosen” in the vein of Elijah or Moses; he is a temporary steward of executive power bound by an oath.
The Iran Litmus Test
Support for any leader, Trump included, is conditional. He is “useful” only insofar as he remains a vehicle for the Constitution and conservative realism. If we are dragged into a war with Iran without a formal Congressional declaration, that is not leadership; it’s executive overreach. A true “America First” platform demands:
Constitutional Fidelity: Respecting Article I, Section 8. No unauthorized “forever wars.”
National Interest: Prioritizing American blood and treasure over neocon regime-change fantasies.
Principles Over Men
The moment the man is placed above the Document, the movement loses its moral authority. We don’t owe any politician “worship.” We owe the Republic our vigilance. As long as a leader advances originalist judges and defends the border, they are an asset. The moment they pivot toward unconstitutional entanglements or personal aggrandizement at the expense of the law, that utility expires.
Loyalty belongs to the Constitution. Everyone else is just a temporary employee.
“The deal sounds very much like surrender on our part”
She is stupid enough to believe CNN propaganda. The deal CNN claimed was the deal was never the deal.
Speaking practically, the GOP is losing everywhere and without a Trump miracle will continue to do so.
I don’t care what the women think.
If Megyn didn’t have Piers to complain to, who would listen?
No, you are wrong
The Republican Party led by President Donal Trump is strong in spite of the feckless conservatives in the base who never grasp the fact that conservatives have no political power outside the Republican Party
“...the GOP is losing everywhere and without a Trump miracle will continue to do so.”
And just how do you know that? Polls?
We all know, of course, that polls are always honest and accurate.
The MAGA coalition was always fragile.
Hence my tagline
“No, you are wrong”
I’ve been wondering if you now think President Trump is anti-Trump because he fired Bondi? I mean, you were full of hate for me when I pointed out that Bondi wasn’t doing the job.
“They can’t buy a home. Young people cannot get a home”
Most states could create new capital cities every ten years.
These would be quality cities with amenities, and affordable housing.
Absent the world, Iowa is just a trivial corn patch
Sounds more like she’s kneeling in front of Candace Owen’s carpet more than anything else.
