Numerous news sites (see them at the twitter/X link) are reporting strikes on military sites on Iran's Kharg Island, with some postulating the whole power plants and bridges threat was a head-fake for an operation to take Kharg Island.

Let’s take and keep Kharg and Qeshm permanently. Build great American bases to protect the Gulf and the Strait and project power. Then charge Iran to distribute their oil.
We don’t have to invade the mountains of Persia to subdue Iran.
We should have done the same to Iraq in 1992 and just taken their port at Basra.
We’re almost guaranteed that it is protected by Iran Military and not ordinary Iranians.

Sounds like over night they hit military sites on Kharg.
Actually, when this is finished, the US should start collecting a levy of $10/barrel on every tanker leaving the Gulf.
It may well be enough rustle the Jimmies of the locals enough to start acting upon the Mullahs. Weapons would be useful, but I read something posted here over the past weekend that the Kurds kept the weapons we gave to them to give to the Iranians.
