PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Dark Lady is no longer moving forward with a controversial mural that was being painted on the side of the building.
The popular Providence LGBTQ+ nightclub announced in a social media post Monday evening that management has made the decision to discontinue the mural and “move forward with removal as soon as possible.”
The Dark Lady had been working with artist Ian Gaudreau, who was in the process of painting the mural on the Snow Street building. The mural would have honored Iryna Zarutska — a Ukrainian refugee who was stabbed to death on a commuter train in North Carolina last summer.
The unfinished artwork has created quite the controversy in the capital city, especially since it is connected to a national mural campaign spearheaded by Intercom CEO Eoghan McCabe and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Liberals: “I was just a woman”
All good is controversial to evil.

The Left considers it divisive to show light on the results of there policies and work.
It is one of the reason they embrace censorship. They hate to be reminded of the evil they cause.
It rubs their noses in the fact that a black, career criminal, from a family of other outlaws, randomly murdered a young white woman he had never met, someone who had never presented a threat to him.
Rep. David Morales (D-RI) says the mural for Iryna Zarutska “does not reflect our values”
Totally expected. There are people in this country who hate Whiteys and she was White and beautiful.
At the risk of sounding contrary, I don’t think it’s a good idea to put murals of anyone all over the place. There are many innocent people that have been brutally murdered, many children, many women and men as well. As horrible as her murder was, if you are going to put up murals for one, you have no reason to refuse them for others (George Floyd, Trayvon, etc. I think these murals make a city look a little junky. A nicely made plaque installed somewhere would be much better looking....especially when all that paint peels!
They would prefer a mural dedicated to the stabber.
How the hell is it “divisive”??? Some people support the killer and they might be offended? What?
I’m not really the type but sometimes I say it’s Satan. Usually the people I say it to agree immediately.
Is it even possible to stop a mural of a girl’s face on a building?
I just bet if someone wanted to paint a George Floyd mural there, Smiley would have nothing to say.
On the intersectional victim status ladder, queers just dropped a rung below illegal alien murderers. It's hard to keep up with who's on top. I just wish normal people would quit holding the ladder, and let it topple.

WHO has refused murals and statues of St. George of Fentanyl? They’re all over. Have any been removed?
They should have painted a mural of Miss Zarutska looking back over her shoulder in fear at the sight of the guy holding the knife.
That 3-D effect rocks.
