Electricity has been cut in parts of the Iranian capital Tehran and in Alborz province after attacks on the area’s infrastructure, Iran’s state media cites the country’s ministry of energy as saying.
Shrapnel hit a part of the electricity grid in Alborz province, causing power to be cut in several areas of Tehran and the city of Karaj. Authorities are working on reinstating it, state media adds.

So they are now bombing the electricity grid in Iran. Financial futures are now trading, and oil is back over $100, not a huge jump but it will go up more if the retaliation spirals into Gulf infrastructure destruction.

The oil supply shock is double the size in 1973. That caused a two year recession.
In addition this is also a huge natural gas supply shock, and fertilizer shock (food production) which wasn’t an issue in 1973.
Among other things food shortages int he 3rd world cause mass migrations.
So we have inflation, recession, unemployment, food shortages, maybe mass migrations.
And 1973 was just an embargo. If export facilities are destroyed it will take months or years to repair

That’s why the oil price is still at $102 and not 150
But if Trump listens to Levin et al. and the “ground operations” this thing will inevitably spiral.
