Yankees vs. Giants live updates: Bombers pull off first Opening Day shutout win since 1967 over Giants
That was moving, it must have been great to have heard it in person.
Go Navy!
He was wonderful. Sang the National Anthem without adding any of his own flourishes to it. He sang it like it was supposed to be sung.
The same town that where Colonoscopy Krapernik began his crapola can also do this.
Reminds me of the Navy Fleet Weeks in The City By The Bay.
He ranks right up there with Ethel Merman.
I really liked the smoke flag. They took a big risk planning it in a windy place like that.
Great to see that performance from a Navy guy in San Francisco who sang the Anthem like a man. I’m so tired of the faggotry in that City. I’ll never forget riding up Broadway in my Dad’s brand new ‘63 Chrysler 300 and seeing all the sailors during Fleet Week, scoping out the T&A in the heyday of Carol Doda. Daniel Lurie (the new mayor) has done wonders so far, even if he is a Democrat, he’s a huge improvement.
Now there's a name I haven't heard or read in a while. She was iconic. Doubly so. The Condor in 1973:
Very good rendition but to call it the greatest ever is going much too far.
Good strong rendition but he did add a few notes.
He was GREAT....but Ethel had better legs!
Because this is almost never the case I prefer just the music from a military band. Let the people sing it, not some aspiring (or washed up) diva.
I’m so old I remember when it was sung corporately. Always.
Why can’t they sing the anthem as written? They always try to hit every note on every lyric. Turned it off after 6 seconds.
Baloney!
No, not even close, but then I didn’t like Whitney Houston’s rendition either.
That was pretty good, too bad so many players, if they’re even Americans, can’t even speak English.
It’s on Obamavision, so few watched it.
Good lord. Fantastic.
