Germany has a shortage of workers - so it's turning to India for help
BBC ^ | 03 23 2026 | Tim Mansel

Germany is continuing to struggle with a shortage of skilled workers, as elderly staff retire, and there are not enough young candidates to fill their roles. To try to alleviate the problem the country is increasingly turning to workers from India.

For Handirk von Ungern-Sternberg, it started with an email that dropped into his inbox in February 2021. It had come from India.

The gist of the message was: "We have lots of young, motivated people looking for vocational training and we're wondering if you're interested."

Von Ungern-Sternberg was working for the Freiburg Chamber of Skilled Crafts in southwest Germany, a trade body that represents skilled workers, from bricklayers and carpenters, to butchers and bakers, and the companies that employ them.

The email arrived at an opportune moment.

"We had a lot of desperate employers, who couldn't find anyone to work for them," says Von Ungern-Sternberg. "So we decided to give it a chance."

Muslims will not break bread with them. The clean/washed dishes of the infidels have left over pork film on them. Read it in Robert D.Kaplan’s book ‘Asia’s Cauldron’.

Wasn’t the argument that the government made for years - years - that they had to import migrants from the Middle East precisely because they needed workers? Precisely because their population was aging out of jobs? So that was all a lie?

Germany has a critical shortage of skilled workers but it has millions of unskilled, illiterate Muslim third world “refugees” that anglea merkle imported into Germany under the pretext that they needed workers to fill in for labor shortages.

The Islamic imported migrants do not work and are most all on generous German welfare. support.

So now Germany needs to import Indian workers to help support the Muslims on welfare.

Indian workers band together to force Americans out of work. Lake X back communities anywhere they promote their own in form of tight network. We are being colonized. To say otherwise is a lie.

This isn’t suicide.

It’s homicide.

Guess which kind of voting equipment is used in Europe.

Some of these are workers visas. I was skiing on Friday at Waterville Valley in the White mountains of NH. The four girls standing at the lifts checking passes were all from Peru. I spoke to one for several minutes. She said Friday was her last day. That was returning to Peru on Saturday.
She was a college student in Peru. She spoke English better than a lot of Americas.

This is very common at the bigger ski areas in New England. Some places even have dormitory housing on site. That is because there are not enough locals in some of these remote locations. Many are college students from South America. Although, over the years I have young people from Italy and South Africa too. Plus, many times the housekeeping people at the bigger onsite hotels/lodges are from the Caribbean.

I cant wait to see the Rhein and the Danube river with about a foot of trash floating on its surface while we get to watch a bunch of fun videos on Twitter of all these new “Skilled workers” washing their asses in those aformentioned rivers.

Still short of workers? What’s the excuse for all the Muslims and Africans then?

What a mistake.

There is no such thing as a labor shortage. There are only wage shortages.

P.S. What is the unemployment AND underemployment rate for the natives in Germany? I notice more and more industrial concerns laying off workers thanks to Gaia worship making it impossible for their companies to compete.

Biggest bull excrement by you. Every Indian worker is HIRED BY AN AMERICAN CAPITALIST CORPORATION. Indians can’t hire themselves. It is always the American corporation operating in a capitalist system who hires workers who will benefit the corporation the most. May be you just hate capitalism. You will be happy on DU.

It the mid 1990s, the recently reunified Germany imposed immigration restrictions, halting the import of Turkish Muslims (at the time, the largest immigrant group).

The Simon Wiesenthal Center raised the alarm, putting out statements that Germany was reverting to its racist Nazi past.

I remember hearing the report on KABC-AM, on my car radio.

Soon afterwards, Germany reversed its immigration ban, eager to prove to the world that no, they were not returning to their racist, Nazi past.

—————-

Wage inflation in Germany refers to the increase in wages over time, which can be influenced by factors like inflation rates and economic conditions. As of December 2025, wages in Germany increased by 1.90% compared to the previous year, with expectations for wage growth to reach around 2.00% by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
