President Trump on Saturday issued a blistering ultimatum to Iran, warning that it has 48 hours to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face US strikes that would “obliterate” its vital energy infrastructure.
“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” the president fumed on Truth Social.
Iran has effectively closed the crucial waterway — responsible for a fifth of the world’s oil exports — since Trump launched the joint US-Israeli attack on the country on Feb. 28. The closure has sent global fuel prices soaring — with Brent crude remaining above $100 per barrel on Friday — up from around $70 a month ago.

I’m guessing that the Iranian regime knows by now that PDJT isn’t f*cking around.
Don’t tell Iran exactly what will be done if they don’t open the Strait of Hormuz.
But if they attack tankers or other vessels in the Strait of Homuz, tell them to shake in terror about what is going to be done to them.
True, but the IRGC is not made up of normal, rational people.
I guess they do.
This is a globally public RED LINE Trump has just marked down.
If he hedges or edges away from his clear and vivid ultimatum, that won’t be good. Not ruinous, no, but not good for future negotiating scenarios.
I still believe Trump when he said opening the Strait would be a simple military maneuver. I don’t see any reason for this.
I’m guessing if Iran doesn’t open the Strait by the deadline, then we’ll bomb some select parts of a power plant and say it was obliterated. Which is fine, assuming we keep ramping it up, incrementally, after that.
Iran has been embracing the Seventh Century for almost fifty years.
Let American strategic bombers deliver to those in charge in Iran, the full, brutal effect of life in the Seventh Century.
What is going to be done? We and the Israelis have been bombing their IRGC troops, facilities, storage areas for 21 days and nights. We have killed their leaders. We have killed their replacement leaders. We have sunk their navy, destroyed their air force. What else does Pres Trump believe we can do? We could carpet bomb their cities. We could target and destroy the Artesh. But we did have hope the people and regular army would join in driving the mullahs out. They’d be less likely to do that when on the receiving end of our bombs. We could destroy their oil and gas and they could destroy the Gulf state fields. If that happens Newsom’s $10 /gal gas will be a fond memory. So what can Pres Trump threaten?
You are not getting an A in history. Before 1979, Iran was very modern and pro-U.S. It wasn’t until Carter helped overthrow the Shah, that the non-Arab country was led by leaders with an Arab geopolitical outlook.
I remember reading once that Carter turned his back on the Shah because the Shah wouldn't do some kind of back-door deal with some of Carter's friends from Georgia.
From Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram account...
“The IRGC: If Iran’s power grid is attacked, it will be hit with drones and missiles across all energy infrastructures of the Gulf Sates, considered close allies of the United States.”
That is very telling.
If Iran could hit the US, it would. Instead it’s hitting former allies of itself and other muslim countries likely in the hopes that they’ll pressure Trump into capitulating.
The world does not know how to reckon with Trump. He is not the usual spineless, manhoodless politician they are used to manipulating and intinidating.
I didn’t know about that, but it was bad for the Iranian people, the U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries.
