How is it beneficial to those who want freedom in Iran to destroy the whole country?
If I were the leader of Iran, I would not wait around to see if President Trump is joking.
I asked the same question last week. I hope everyone has a plan for Iran’s survival.

We were able to free both the Germans and the Japanese from living under tyranny. But we did some damage along the way.

Power plants make a country?
Heaven forbid we lose power anywhere here, or we can’t have a country!

Because the choice is between an intact infrastructure and no freedom, or freedom with a damaged infrastructure that needs to be rebuilt. Damaged infrastructure is temporary, lack of freedom is forever if you don’t do something about it.

I’m under the impression that war is about destroying Iran’s ability to make war not liberating the people. To me, it’s highly unlikely that the people will liberate themselves.
That is, the fight was NOT over the Strait.
It was over the mainland and those in power.
Stragglers of what hasn’t been completely demolished are what are causing occasional issues, now.
