Russia will refer women who choose not to have children to psychologists in an attempt to reverse the country’s worsening demographic crisis.
Under guidelines overseen by the health ministry, women who answer negatively to questions in a medical history survey about whether they intend to have children will be encouraged to seek psychological support.
“It is recommended to send the patient to a consultation with a medical psychologist with the goal of forming a positive attitude towards having children,” according to the advice.
Men who take the same medical history questionnaire will not face questions about their plans to have children. As Russia’s birth rates plummet to their lowest in modern history, the Kremlin has spearheaded an unorthodox pronatalist campaign, which it has cast as vital to its national survival, with limited success.
In 2024, Russia recorded its lowest annual total births since 1999 at 1.2 million. Alexei Raksha, a demographer, said last year that the first quarter of 2025 had seen the lowest number of births in the country in two centuries.
The crisis has been exacerbated by the full-scale war. As many as 325,000 Russian men have been killed in Ukraine since February 2022. According to data from early 2025, deaths in Russia outnumbered births by an average of 1.6 to 1.

I think if people don’t want kids, they probably shouldn’t have kids. We have enough problems with people who have half-assed or whole-assed (not) raising them. People who do a sh1tty job raising kids are a true pox on society because their spawns are terrors on the rest of everyone.

Strikes me as reasonable. He’s not forcing anyone to DO anything. He’s making them THINK about what they want to do. If they decide that means they’ll be decent parents, fine. If they decide they’d be rotten parents, let’s hope they choose the other way.
But SOOOO much better than bringing in a 3rd world nation that changes your culture for the worse.
That is ridiculous-if men are not also positive about having kids as well, then nothing good is going to happen, no matter how many psychologists women see. I suppose the guys could be sperm donors if all else fails-but it still takes a man and a woman to make babies and raise them the natural way...
Assuming that the number of childless women far outweighs the number of psychologists, he had better supply the psychologists with extra doses of Viagra.

Russia has clearly identified the root cause of many of modern society's problems and is making an effort to fix it. I applaud their effort and I hope that we will follow their example begin doing the same here.

Israel is clearly conducting psyops in Russia to keep Russian women childless. I know this because somebody who’s making videos on YouTube told me so.
Israel:
In 2024: Estimates range from 3.06 (CBS data cited in multiple reports) to 3.07 children per woman, showing a rebound or stabilization. Some monthly/partial-year data for 2024 indicated even higher levels in certain periods (e.g., 3.10 in early 2024 and up to 3.19 later in the year among Jewish women).
This places Jewish fertility in Israel well above the OECD average (around 1.5–1.7 children per woman) and above replacement level (2.1). It has also surpassed Muslim women’s TFR in Israel in recent years (e.g., Muslim TFR around 2.75–2.9 in 2023–2024, continuing a long-term sharp decline).
Israel’s overall national TFR (across all groups) was about 2.85–2.91 in 2023–2024, with projections for 2025 around 2.89.
The high Jewish rate is driven by variation across subgroups: ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) women have very high rates (around 6–6.5), religious/traditional groups are in the 3–4 range, while secular Jews are closer to 2–2.5 (still higher than in most Western countries). This contributes to Israel’s unique demographic profile as the only OECD country with sustained above-replacement fertility.
