Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday said that overthrowing Iran’s regime will require a “ground component” along with a revolution, as the U.S.-Israeli conflict with the Middle Eastern country nears the start of its fourth week.
“It is often said that you can’t win –– you can’t do revolutions from the air, that is true,” Netanyahu said in a press conference in Jerusalem. “You can’t do it only from there, you can do a lot of things from the air and we’re doing –– but there has to be a ground component, as well.
“There are many possibilities for this ground component, and I take the liberty of not sharing with you all those possibilities,” he added.
The prime minister said the Iranian people must “rise to the moment” before claiming that Israel and the U.S. can create those conditions, “but they have to, you know, they have to exploit those conditions at a certain point.”

Send Lindsey Graham and Mark Levin.
Sure he does. You know that how?
Who else is going to do it
I know it won’t be the UK because they have no army.
Does your vote or mine matter anymore?
Everything this guy wants from us happens consistently, so I guess it’s a done deal
That’s up to the Iranian people
Well, then. I guess either Israel is going to send ground troops to Iran or there will be no revolution.
Send the chickenhawks before you send your sons and daughters
That’s all I’m saying. It would be better in my opinion
I’m withholding judgement until I can view, read, or hear a full comment.
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain all maintain their own ground forces.
Air drop weapons to the masses. CIA has proven they are good at this over the last 50 years or so... No boots on the ground ever.
I want those two cowards on the front lines
They wouldnt last 5 minutes and they wont be sending anyone to that meat grinder neither will Israel.
He has Americans in mind.
I think we are going to have to do for the Iranian people what France did for us during our Revolution...we are going to have to given them some aid, some weapons, and logistical support, and some basic combat training, or our efforts will be for naught!
Really, where does he say that?
The ground component already in play are Iranians, specifically, the entire Iranian Regular Army or Artesh, which is essentially untouched from the troops to the head generals.
And unloved by the mullahs.
I didn’t quote him just implying . Who do you think will end up going.
We will see...
But I firmly believe those who call for it should be first in line to ‘serve’
If you give nine figure donations like Miriam Adelson then your opinion counts.
Normal folks like us just get the boot on our face.
“I want those two cowards on the front lines”
You can say quite a lot of negative things about Bibi, most of which I’d probably agree, but calling him a coward is inaccurate.
He served as squad commander within Sayeret Matkal, which is essentially the Israel version of the British SAS or the American Delta Force (1st SFOD-D).
He saw his share of combat and was wounded.
well.
“There are many possibilities for this ground component, and I take the liberty of not sharing with you all those possibilities,” he added
See how easy that was…we don’t know and saying anything would be speculation. Why not just wait for the facts before talking. Frankly if our guys were in the mix that’s ok as long as we go in with the single idea of killing the enemy. Once done we leave in an organized manner without lingering.
There you go. Our president has spoken. Get to it.
