Iran executed a 19-year-old champion wrestler in a public hanging Thursday along with two other people who were arrested during the brutal crackdown on anti-regime protesters in January.
Saleh Mohammadi, a rising star from Qom, was allegedly tortured to confess to the capital crime of waging war against God, with the teen executed without a fair trial, according to human rights groups.
“His execution was a blatant political murder, part of the Islamic Republic’s pattern of targeting athletes to crush dissent and terrorize society,” Nima Far, a human rights activist and Iranian combat athlete, told Fox News.
Mohammadi, along with fellow protesters Mehdi Ghasemi and Saeed Davoudi, were accused of killing two police officers “with knives and swords” during the January protests, according to Iranian state media.

Our Democrats will be pleased to hear this. They support strong theocracies that don’t take any guff.
The Dem party supports the regime, because that is what they want to do here to ANYONE who speaks out against them
The IR thugs don’t realize the Iranian equivalent of the Nuremberg trials are in their future, or more likely they don’t care.
So sad. Iran is killing some of it’s best young people.
Anyone brave enough to take a stand against their despotic government qualifies. We Americans usually say we stand against lies, systematic oppression and corruption in government, but how many of us are ready to be painfully martyred for those causes?
I would like to think I am ready, but probably not. I have lived a relatively peaceful and pampered life, compared to most other people in other countries. I don’t know how I wont’ react, if I had to make such a choice.
Obviously, they on did this because “Trump!!!”
//sarcasm
If we don’t thoroughly destroy this demonic regime, they will resume their efforts to get nuclear bombs and deliver them on Israel and eventually Europe and us.
It’s guaranteed if we fail to stop it dead in its tracks. It’s a 1,400 year war on civilization and it’s heating up big time. It’s them or us, pick your side. The UK appears to be selecting Islam. We must not copy them!
For later.
I can only imagine what they are doing to those poor women soccer players that agreed to go back to Iran from Australia.
These butchers can’t see beyond their own ideology. Turn Iran into a parking lot.
I read that many of those players received messages from their families literally saying: “Don’t come back. They will kill you!”, and even still, at least 3 girls have decided to return, their fates now sealed.
Guilt is the reason. They could not continue living free and easy in Australia, all the while knowing their family members were being tortured as punishment. That’s going to be a very long plane ride, heading back into the belly of the Ayatollahs’ Beast. Crazy Kim in North Korea operates by the same playbook.
>> how many of us are ready to be painfully martyred for those causes?
That’s a good question. I can’t swear I’m ready for painful martyrdom but I like to think I’m ready to die with an empty gun in my hands, standing in a big pile of spent brass. 😉
Probably a big error and at the most wrong timing for their domestic situation, as the regime is under serious attack it refocuses the resentful population’s emotions and fears on why they must rise up and capitalize on the outside help going on (which is probably also scaring them some).
At least you have a plan to fight back, not instantly melt down, like a wax candle near the bonfire.
Which is one of the reasons they want US citizens disarmed.
Public hangings in Iran are usually done with a crane. Winch the victim off the ground by his neck. A body hanging 30 feet off the ground gives the viewers further away a good look.
Prison hangings are usually short drop, often just having the victim stand on a stepstool.
The story says he was “forced” to confess. He obviously didn’t get any leniency for it so the confession might have been traded for sparing his family.
“...with the teen executed without a fair trial...”
This is not the US. It is not a democratic country. It is a terrorist country. When involved with a country like this, there are three things you can do:
1. Put up with the inhumane actions they take
2. Leave the country, or
3. Take out the regime and start a new one.
The people that were executed did none of the three. They displayed themselves as a thorn in the side of the terrorist group that is in charge, and did nothing but talk. That is what liberals do. They do nothing and try to make noise.
But liberals don’t have anyone like hamas to string them up to trees. So they get bolder and bolder with your lives until they do worse than hang you...they just use you for their own good and don’t care anything about you except your vote and money.
So what’s the complaint. We have almost the exact same thing here in the US. And people get hurt all the time just like in Iran. It just hasn’t reached the use of ropes and trees yet like their regime has found profitable. Unless your Epstein, Don and Kevin Ives, C. Victor Raiser II, Vince Foster and Jerry Parks, Ron Brown, Vic Thorn, Jeffrey Smith...
You get the picture. It just isn’t televised on national TV.

Leading Democrats support theocracies? But they don’t believe in God!
They are sending a message but they are too stupid to see that while they media’s Trump hatred helping them, this type of thing will make that collapse.
“”””I like to think I’m ready to die with an empty gun in my hands, standing in a big pile of spent brass.””””
That involves passion, physicality and adrenalin, there is none of that when you are under the control of the calm pros and they are going to brutally kill you with no one knowing and no noise, no nothing except for a quiet taking of your life with no glorious last stand or hail fellows beside you.
It feels different and tests your courage in a different way than a blood hot battle.
