Poet Robert Frost once said that "good fences make good neighbors." He apparently never met Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is being sued by his neighbors for effectively squatting on their land and then seizing it to install a fence along his $830,500 private residence in suburban Philadelphia. The litigation is likely to put Shapiro in a much different light for many who think of him as a 2028 contender.

I just can’t help but think an $830,500 residence is that ‘great’ in a big city like Philly...Seems like he should have a $4,000,000+ home if he’s so politically connected to become governor...

This is one of those stories where it’s helpful to understand the area in which the real estate sits. It isn’t in “Philadelphia” proper, it’s in Montgomery County outside the city. Specifically, it’s in Abington Township which has some really nice neighborhoods.
